Kate reminds me of my mom trying to paint pieces of furniture and buy a few things to give it a different vibe etc. Last time she took apart the entire kitchen (dark wood) and painted it all white! It took forever to dry, and a few coats, but it was a different room by the end. I love your videos guys, so glad you are back! I also pass on the ideas to my mom, she finds them really helpful (she doesn't have a KZbin acc, or watch a lot of KZbin in general).

I love the 🏝 island vibes inside n outside the home! The colors are very warm n welcoming and I’ve never seen a refrigerator make over..interested to see how that holds up n the table makeover! I love that you still have the stone benchtop... I smile at mine against glossy white kitchen cabinets that were a fabulous combo in the 80s - the stone is the most efficient and durable bench top that I've ever had in my home - while I love stainless steel, production is so horrifically damaging to the environment - but so is paint, etc...

Omg this turned out so great!!! Also pro tip! Doing papier mache with flour and water works best with newspaper and the consistency has to be like pancake batter only sliiightly more runny. Takes longer to dry but you get great results! I’m a pre-school teacher and I’ve found this is also the safest for little ones if you want to diy with Moon 😁

Last year, everything was “boho”, now everyone is trying to do mid-century (I personally like an authentic MCM design, not this washed out version we see most DIYers try to replicate), and in the end no one is courageous enough to have their own style. Mr. Kate has such a unique personality and it shows through her designs.

I’m a very creative person and i love mixing colors. When Kate explains her ideas i have a hard time trying to picture it and a lot of the time I’m like ehhh Kate you sound crazy lol. Then you see the finished product and omg it’s absolutely beautiful it’s so funky and colorful and welcoming. I love it! When Joey says you just gotta trust Kate he’s 100% correct lol. Joey is just as creative too but you can see that he loves to see the creative gears moving in Kate’s mind 🥰🥰 you have such a beautiful family!! I've been thinking for a while that your house looks super retro, but I didn't know from what decade. It just dawned on me when I saw your yellow fridge that its SUPER 50s/60s (but with a modern twist) and I love it!! The 50s had super colorful appliances, like the Frigidaire refrigerators, which is why your pastel fridge reminded me of the 50s and how colorful houses used to be back then. Love the colors! The Refrigerator color is very pretty, like pale cantaloupe or peaches......the pinkish cupboards with those cool white and silver handles, very feminine and tropical. I really want to see the table and what you don’t like about it! I think it’s important to show mistakes and mishaps that happen along the way. It shows that we all make mistakes or do things we don’t like, but can change and amend them to be what we want them to be.
