A polo is a mint with a hole in the middle. It used to be marketed as 'the mint with the hole'. The video actually shows what it looks like, more clearly than I could describe it. :)

The trouble with focusing so much on the lyrics, fantastic as they are, is that you can completely miss other aspects of the music. For instance, in this track there were no instruments, no beats. It's just Ren's voice creating the entire track. :)

I live in New Mexico and hear "ese" quite a bit. This used to be a part of Mexico, so I'm not sure if it's a holdover from the past or was brought over from Mexico in more recent times. You catch a lot of things other reactors don't catch. Enjoyed this reaction and this a capella track, one of my favorites on the album, although I'm disturbed by Ren turning a monkey into a junkie. 😧

The usual meaning of 'close to the edge' in the UK at least, is that you're about to lose it. Whether you're about to lose your temper, your mind, or even your life, is dependent on circumstance. I'm pretty sure 'bil' didn't have anything to do with that particular line but definitely added meaning to the line it was part of. :)

Nice reaction/unpacking of this song. I even learned that yoko ono's singing style is manic,.. i had no idea. One point i do want to make is that the audio of the song is a tad overmodulated (if that's an actual word in English) like it's turned up too loud and the speakers can't cope. Not sure if that's something you can look into/fix, but i did want to mention this. Anyway, have a good one.
