6:35 I never understood why he calls attention to this at all. The Tweet in question was MGK saying that "[Eminem's daughter] is hot as fuck, in the most respectful way possible because Em is king." Which, y'know, is fine... until you realize he was 21 and she was 16 when he posted that tweet. That's a bit creepy, bro. So yes, Eminem wanted an apology from you for saying things like that about his underage daughter. Frankly, you're lucky that's all he asked for. I woulda just apologized and gone about my business. Though as it turns out, that was never the reason Em dissed him, according to the man himself. After Kamikaze dropped, he had an interview with Sway about all the stuff on the album. The diss was over MGK's freestyle where he said "I'm my favourite rapper alive, since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45", and then the "Popped in on the top charts out the cop car to remind ya'll you just rap, you're not Gods" line on the Tech N9ne track (which Tech N9ne came out later and said he didn't know MGK was gonna diss Eminem on the track). Whether or not Eminem really had him banned from Shade 45 has never been confirmed. My personal guess is that Eminem expressed negative feelings for MGK, and somebody at Shade 45 was like "Well, we can't let him on the station if Em doesn't like him." and MGK just assumed it was Em himself who gave that order.

Can’t wait for the notification for the killshot reaction! Though the line about Dre producing Em was weak I think. Dre took a huge chance with Em and both were at really low points. They brought the best out in one another. And it was a time where only the beastie boys and few others were in the rap industry who were white. Now it’s easier to get in regardless of race and also easier with being able to put things on SoundCloud, KZbin, etc to get recognized. It was much harder back then to get recognition when Em came in, and even documentaries state Em struggled in Detroit at rap battles when he was starting just because of his skin color, people said he didn’t belong. So MGK line about Dre producing Em was super weak

I like Eminem’s music, and I like some of MGKs stuff, but dammit nobody ever wants to give MGK props for standing up to a giant and doing it well. Did em win? Yes. Did MGK know he would lose? Yes. Was a big fan of EM for most of my life and there is no doubt that Em is a better technical rapper and killshot was a better diss by all technical metrics. Now that we have all that out of the way, Em has been accused of blackballing and boxing out other rappers, especially white ones to keep his lane clear. It's obvious that he shouldn't need to do that because he is so damn good, but it's likely an insecurity thing. It's the same reason why he does "interviews" with people on his payroll (sway). The rap devil "diss" is MGK saying yes your a better rapper, but you're a piece of shit human who walked through the door of success and closed it behind him. As far as the "I'll fight you" stuff that you are discrediting, it's a fair thing to throw in there because Em was saying "you ain't been in connection with battery" and "don't make me call you trick trick" and other stuff to suggest that if MGK doesn't sit the fuck down he will be on physical danger. MGK is basically saying fine if you're going to threaten me what's the address, and by the way even though I've got my own guys behind me like J prince, I'll come by myself. You threatened me are you man enough to do the same? Idk killshot is a better technical diss, but after people way smarter than me fact checked Rap Devil, I have a hard time listening to Em because I can't respect him anymore. Does that mean he's not an amazing rapper? No. Was I some big MGK fan when this happened? No, I was a Em fan.

I am an MGK fan, but I have to give you credit, you come at this with an unbelievable level of intellectualism, especially when you said that he wasn't dissing him. I think it's an intentional thing because Eminem, if he ends up saying Eminem is not the GOAT, then people are just going to point out, how can you say anything opposite, because Eminem, he is the GOAT, so that's why you can't win a battle with him, no matter what you do. Saying he's angry at his dad, yes, he is angry at his dad, but he grew up on Eminem. He gave Eminem tons of credit for his career. I've seen him do freestyles of Eminem's beats and say, I got to give credit to the GOAT, I can't do as good as him on this, so a part of him probably looked at Eminem as his father growing up because he's a white male from Cleveland and Eminem's from Detroit, and Eminem really never gave him any flowers, and I'm sure that bothers him on a real level. I wish he would actually just break that down and rap about it. He seems to be getting more real with his songs now, so maybe in the future, but yeah, he's super angry, but he taps into anger. He taps into my anger, and it's one of the reasons I enjoy listening to him because he evokes emotion within me, and the dude is just cool, like, look at him, he's just cool, and he's been showing us more of a vulnerable side, which I appreciate, and he's a great songwriter.
