It's ultimately pointless though, you learn all these things while still realising that you have a 0.00001% of getting the item you really want. And then even if you did get all the items you want, you still have to grind the same levels you've been pouring your life into. I'm proud to say I'm done with this game. I played a few different builds that were fun, did some HC mode until realizing the game kills you whenever it wants with glitches and bugs even when you play it super careful, had a little fun on battlenet until that all my hard-farmed uniques were nothing compared to all the unique runewords. I just woke up and realized there are action rpgs with better plot (e.g Hades, Deus Ex revisions), better and fairer loot systems (borderlands, ), better combat mechanics ( basically any rpg that isn't a high-speed clickfest), better variety in monsters (dark souls, etc.)...basically I could be having a better time playing almost any other rpg. And for blizzard to keep making sh1t sequels, and then 20years later basically confirm their sequels were sh1t by reskinning their old game and slapping a 60$ price tag on it, ....you deserve more as a gamer. Shameful, lazy, uninspired. The people that make mods for this game deserve more.credit for keeping it alive than Blizzard do.

Just a quick note also guys. When you imbue a Druid Helm, or a Barb Helm....these helms have +Skills for their respective characters. When you IMBUE a white helm of either of these Class Types (The Wolf Helm, The Eagle Helm, The Barb Visor, etc) IT WILL REMOVE ANY SKILLS ON THE WHITE ITEM, AND REROLL THE ENTIRE HELM. You will NOT keep those + to skills on the helms you are trying to imbue! KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN IMBUEING THESE! The nice thing about this is, these helms will reroll. Meaning, you have a wide array of + to skill that Charsi can ADD to the helm when you imbue it. You might imbue a white Druid Wolf Helm that only has +1 to Dire Wolf..... and it could roll as: "+3 to Spirit Wolf +3 to Raven +3 to Twister" ANY Druid Helm or Barb helm can roll +1-3 skills in THREE different skill categories. So just remember that when you imbue! This can be good or bad for you. ^_^ (Not sure why he didnt touch on this, but I digress. He does a GREAT job)

You shouldn't feel too bad if you wasted your imbues on something silly/temporary. Remember that imbues will be a minuscule meaning portion of all the rares you'll identify over your D2 journey. I personally like to imbue circlets/coronets/diadems just because you don't get too many of those by magic finding. In fact I think most of my rare circlet identifies are from gambling and the pskull cube recipe.

@@halfaddict for those not familiar, this does lower the item's level over time. there's an equation you can use to calculate what the lowest the same item will eventually get to, I can't remember off hand but it's something like 2/3 or 3/4s of the character level. but this doesn't matter with diadems because of what mrllamasc had mentioned in his video

Also useful tip. If you got White Diadem, you Imbue it and it came crap, don't sell it to vendor. Save item and cube it with 6 perf skulls. You can reroll item all the time.

Very helpful. pre lod and rune words charsi imbue was far more important. I used it for my final weapon and even made characters specifically for imbue because I didn't get what i wanted from the first 3. But still feels obsolete to the lod items etc.

I would honestly recommend if you're going to have even a brief view of the math behind this kind of stuff to have the numbers on the screen so that the viewers can follow along. Even if it's like in paint so you can circle the variables you're talking about at any given moment, it'll make it easier to tie what you're talking about to a tangible example. Otherwise it can very quickly become confusing. The depth of your explanation can be the same, but with a visual reference it makes it easier to absorb the information.

I would wait until later on in the game for better whites to drop and make what you need at the moment for whatever class. The other day a Templar armor dropped and it rolled some good stats and two sockets from Charsi I was quite happy with it and it had more defense than all the rest of my gear combined .

If you are playing a Sorc or Necro, ONLY use for Orbs or Wands. I got an item so good it pretty much made the Leaf obsolete before I could even use it. It wasnt until I got a spirit sword I was able to replace it. You wont always get that lucky, but chances are you will get some +skills that will be around the level you are, so save it until you are at least 15 for your normal quest. Save your nightmare and hell for level 92+

If you had a sufficiently lvled character would an ethereal dimensional blade be a good imbue target? If you roll good stats you can then upgrade it and have an indestructible ethereal phase blade with high level affixes.

Honestly, I did the first 12 slot belt I found on a vendor not even thinking about it and happily it rolled with good resistances on it. I didn't replace it until act 3 in nightmare.

This is the best use of the quest, try to get a quick upgrade for the next act or difficulty. Else you wait weeks to roll a diadem with attackers takes x damage and x light radius, congrats.

Imbued stuff also gets very good staff mods like all the time, so fishing for stuff like +5 tornado helms is cool. I also like using it on eth crystal swords and dimensional blades.

Helpful video but the info I was most looking for isn't there: at what charcater level can I 'safely' imbue respectively a coronet/tiara/circlet? They are def more common than diadems, and as I assume their requirements are still lower than the regular lvl 94 for other normal items it would be helpful to know so as to use them too during a character's journey.

as far as i understood these items have a minimum threshold of what affixes are at least possible. Diadem is the only one thst reaches the +2 skill threshold. So the others might get +1 tops if you are too low lvl. So be high lvl for them too.

What about the question from the chat: Will +skills etc. stay on staves when they transform from white into rare? And would you imbue the first diadem found? I guess exceptional/elite makes only a little difference cause of more base defense?

They will randomly re-roll the plus skills. The item base is somewhat ignored, it can be superior or low quality and with whatever +skills on it and none of that will change anything.

That said, diadems are super rare. I've been playing heavily since launch and only found 2 white diadems (along with a couple blue/green ones).

I like to start of with a javelin. Pretty op starter weapon. Unless your sorceress or druid. I usually have javelin on switch at like lvl 10.

If possible, I'd love a list or chart about what items have the highest magic/Q levels for each slot. Diadems are a no-brainer, it would seem, but what if I want to imbue a shield? Will a tower shield be better than a rondache, for example?

For the most part only items worth imbuing are circlet types. I think pally shields may roll different but never really tried it. Since runewords became a thing that made they have become mostly BiS for most builds. Rare rings and amus, gloves, boots can be BiS too but super rare to get. You could get some pretty cool rare weapons for style points tho. Like eth, self repair 450ed, sockets and other crazy mods.

I believe the circlet family is the only one with the hidden magic levels, each tier version higher than the last one. for other items it shouldn't matter because, if I'm not mistaken, charsi imbue rolls solely on your character level

Man, i'm having some issues figuring this out. I can't see item level. Ok, so based on my character being level 91, i can buy any amulet, and craft, or do i need to level three more levels to know forsure that i can craft?
