My husband is Malaysian. He and his brother planted all sorts of plants in the empty field across from their mom’s house here in Florida. I live in Mobile AL and I have banana trees, my neighbors are Nigerian and they use them in their cooking as well but they don't steal them, they politely ask if they can have a few. I've told them they don't need to ask, they can have as many as they want but they still ask. I love trying foods from other cultures, maybe one day I'll learn to make good egg fried rice even...
