Look up phlinger phoo. He’s the absolute best channel to learn how to play ark. Watch his soloing the ark season 6 (it’s like 200 episodes but the first like 20 are how to begin basics. I could never, ever have played without him, I’m a total pussy normally 😂 also his ABC’s of ark series, he has a video on every single Dino! Some have unique skills and a unique way of taming which I don’t know how you would learn without looking it up. I’ve never had to look elsewhere to figure out something!

The quetzal, the bird at the start, is actually incredibly rare, and I'm a bit shocked that you saw it in your first few seconds of playing. I've seen it in that spot too, and they're supposed to stay far up in the air, so it's pretty majestic to see it honestly 👌 ✨️ Btw, some tips, if anything faster than you is chasing you, jump in the nearby water. And always try to tame and breed a ton of raptors as soon as you can

I mean this in a good way, you walking up to a giant peaceful fish on the back of a trex, referring to it as a shark, firing at it with an assault rifle, giggling when it swims away then just refusing to elaborate has an amazing energy/vibe to it lmao Edit: proceeding to then get killed by the largest shark in the game makes it even better, sorry for the loss of your rex tho. I'm surprised you immediately went for the big dinos. I was nice and slow with everyone and everything, cursed about a couple Titanoboas and those goddamn insects, but my first real tame was a Dilophosaurus. I tamed myself an army of like 6 of them, then came across a Raptor and I fell in love. Now I have a Raptor pack of 4 with one being my main mount to go hunting. I still have not dared to challenge a Carbonemys or a Triceratops. I'm such a baby in those kinda games XD

How to deal with various predators! Raptor: They can't really dive so just go underwater Troodon: Just don't try 😄 Any large therapod: Try losing them on rocks Thera: Eh they chill bois just don't poke them :D Also some of the best tames are Therazinos, Thylacoleos, and Argentavis BTW the raptor jumping thingy is a pin attack that can be used on smaller creatures PS: I recommend Ragnarok and Valguero

Also: you didnt accidently killed the Giga (as if this is even possible perse) it actually drowned, its the only way a wild Giga kan possibly die, due to its ginornmous healthpool of 200k+, If you want to tame it, you will need to trap it, its up to you to google how or try to figure it out yourself. But just a tip: keep it away from deep water, as he cant swim :p

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel Another tip would be to dismount a falling dino before it hits the ground and it will takr no fall damage, and another thing is that the cave dinos spawning i such large quantities is a cenre map specific issue that causes overspawns I would recomend doing a dino wipe of you notic it and finally raw prime meat tames carnivores better than cooked meat and mejoberries tame herbivores best out of all the berries And your pink rex was something called a mutation which is a rare occurance, I'd recomend watching a YT video on it further as breeding gets messy quickly

Some tips for you if you continue playing Ark Survival Evolved! Tip One: Tranq a ankylosaurus as they are a upgrade to the Doedicurus that you tamed as the Anklyosaurus can harvest any resource-laden rock. Tip Two: The Ankylosaurus can be picked up and flown around to resource-laden rocks. Tip Three: If you choose to playthrough the story your gonna be freaking out considering what you have to face as a boss on the first map. So prepare yourself mentally because you will have to kill that boss to proceed through the story. Tip Four: Dinos are primarily divided into two categories when it comes to food and those being Carnivores and Herbivores. Herbivores are primarily gatherer dinos instead of combat dinos while Carnivores are primarily combat dinos instead of gatherer dinos. Tip Five: Best armor resource weight and protection wise is flak armor as it only requires resources that are easy to acquire. Tip Six: To get organic polymer you need to go to a location that's icy and go clubbing. Edit: I'm making this tip a little more clear as it depends on the map. Organic polymer comes from penguins, mantis, giant crabs, hesperornis/goose, white bulb-like plants or ichthyosaurus carcasses on the beaches. Tip Seven: To get silica pearls you need to either go to the deepest parts of the ocean, kill trilobites or raid beaver dams to get some pearls. There are other ways but those are simplest ways and most common ways to acquire silica pearls. Tip Eight: When you have the longneck rifle it's best to upgrade to Tranq darts as they do less damage then tranq arrows launched by crossbow but do more torpor(knock out) damage then crossbow-launched tranq arrows so less chance of killing dinos your trying to tame. Just thought I give some tips to you to help you out on your travels through the buggy yet wonderful world of Ark Survival Evolved.

If you jump right before landing you're dino won't take any damage, you can place foundations on rafts making it bigger so you can put dinos on it. Your map defiantly had an over spawn issue, that many dino's in caves is not normal. Also you not get to see the secret underground of this map. :D

That Giga drowned, it has around 80k health so there's no way you could've killed it. Gigas are also very poor swimmers.

ngl, I kinda really want to see you play this more! I'd love to see you raise a proper army and take on a boss(es)! Some tips: (you probably already know these by now lol) -If you jump off a ledge on your dino, jump off before you both hit the ground to avoid your dino taking fall damage -You can set tames to mating instead of using wander to mate -The Center is unfortunately a laggy map in some spots, I highly recommend playing on Ragnarok ;) -If you're impressed by the Giga, You'll love the Carchar :) Their taming mechanic is super fun!

1:06:10 Its cave overspawns. The lag and, like, billions of nasties like Titanoboas, Araneo ( The snakes and spiders ) and the Arthlopluera ( the centipedes ) is caused by cave overspawns. It started happening like, I think last year and I dont think it is still happening but the cave overspawns are still probably affecting people.

Couple of non spoiler tips First, bolas can be used on small dinos just like you used on ptera to stop them Second, baryonyx have a nice right mouse click attack on water, you should try it out Most important tip, some dinos give you organic polymer which can be used as a replacement for polymer and is much cheaper Regarding the cave spawns, you had a big where it disregards max spawns and continues infinitely, don’t know how to fix it. You should have loads of dinos but not that many I believe, but i havent played that map
