Did you know that puzzles are an anti-aging tool? Scientific studies have shown they keep your brain cells deteriorating .This is probably why small children love doing them so much , because their brain is thirsty for data !Obviously it cannot be too hard otherwise they will give up before solving it .It has proven to make people smarter than not bothering .

That's not at all what I expected the inside to look like, which is great as I love being surprised like that. I thought it was going to be some sort of hidden maze but ball bearings in a track does make a ton more sense. Using a 3d printed model to show how it works is such an elegant way of explaining the hidden mechanism. I also really appreciate how you took the time to break down the steps of your problem solving technique; I've already found myself adopting those steps in my daily and work life but to have them bullet pointed like that is even better. "Keep on puzzling" takes on a whole new meaning when I think of it that way.

This is a totally brilliant puzzle. Saw this on CR's channel, and he mentioned you had an explanation video so came on over to check it out. I love all the subtle details, and the fact from the exterior it's totally symmetrical and sealed. To quote CR from another video it's like, "Here, have a ball. Small children and dogs play with them." *hours later all the adults are still playing with it* :D

Hi Mr Puzzle. I recently bought the Titan Ball puzzle and was totally stumped so I turned to your solution. I am hearing impaired so could not hear any audio cues from the ball to aid me. But your very accurate diagrams and logic was more than enough to work with. My actions were based on your guide and my perception of what was going on inside the puzzle as I turned the halves. I closed my eyes and used the hard stops and analysed their importance in my mind. Using your diagrams I was able to imagine or ‘see’ what was going on inside. I was able to dis-assemble and reassemble my Titan 👍🏻 so Thank you for your clear and well articulated solution. You are my turn-to commentator for such puzzles and find your solutions to be excellent. You have inspired a 70 yr old to try puzzles of this complexity to improve my problem solving skills and logical as well as lateral thinking. Well done! Keep the solutions coming.

Excellent Video and explanation! I need to get this puzzle. The last step of your problem solving technique is really another way of describing the Scientific Method that is taught in school. I would have stated as follows: 5 (a) Based on the initial observations in the first four steps (visual, tactile, construction, etc.) make a guess (form a hypothesis) about the internal structure or whatever might lead to a solution. 5 (b) Devise a test to see if your hypothesis is correct. (Design an experiment) 5 (c) Do the test and observe results (Run the experiment and record observations) 5 (d) If your guess was disproved by observation, revise it, and go back to step 5(b). (Modify hypothesis and repeat). Of course, this isn't guaranteed to find a solution--it depends on whether you're fortunate enough to come up with the correct hypothesis. But by following the Scientific Method, you stand a much better chance of finding a solution than by random guessing and simple trial and error. I think this is essentially what you were saying--but I think it's useful to couch it in terms of the Scientific Method.

Would it also have been possible to, using the first "stuck position" as a reference point, place your thumb where the hole is to keep note of it (this spot being found by rotating the entire puzzle until gravity causes the ball to fall out, telling you that the hole is at the bottom), then with a full rotation, place the pin in front of the hole (the placement of which is marked by your thumb) to keep the 1st ball in the hole, and then rotate the entire puzzle around until the 2nd ball falls in the hole? I realize this method requires about 15 degrees or so of guess work, since it's hard to tell EXACTLY where the hole is by the ball falling out due to gravity, but this is where my head went with the solution and i was just wondering if that would have worked?

Your problem solving method reminds me on a very difficult problem of philosophy. If we see reality only through our eyes, and our senses always limitating what is really the case, we only know that we expect and how it could be connected by a trusted and reliable result of trying the right way. But the really real realiy is not what we conclude by our methods - the results are part of what we can´t see. If you have to choose between two teapods, for which one has the better design, the problem remains unsolvable if you are in one of the two teapods. And that´s what we´re doing, as long we perceive reality through our brain. We see only what´s inside our minds. Outside our brain it's literally the beyond world.
