Solid video here. So crucial to see when things are just off a bit, how you can plug your way and manage around the course. Most of us weekend/monthly players need to understand that this is more the norm than we’re willing to admit. Just embrace it and trust the flatstick will come through on some of those 15-25 footers. Getting our stubborn selves OUT OF THE WAY and allowing good things to happen

I have been playing golf for some years now. And I wanted to thank you. That video that you put out on receiving the golf club change my life. I never had a problem with power and distance. Now I am accurate because I'm working with placing my hands in the proper position I'm receiving the golf club now my game is changed And the clubs I used to struggle to hit they're in my bag thank you coach..

I found that my game elevates on harder courses and when playing with good players. I played at Barnsley Gardens once from the tips with a really good player and shot 78 with a double on the last. I'm a 6.8 index.

I'm happy to see a video that shows even the better players don't have a perfect game and are prone to making mistakes. My problem is I let a couple bad shots effect my entire round. I start getting agitated which leads to anger which leads to self detonation. I change little things in my swing and focus on my swing mechanics which leads to my game going to hell in a hand basket. If I had to do a self diagnosis I would say I let stress and anxiety ruin my outlook on golf. It's funny really, on the range I can hit a ball perfectly fine but when I step out to the course everything changes.

This should be titled, "How to think like an Average Golfer" Which is exactly what you are, no shame in that. Course management is 1st year basics. Nothing in this video suggests any tips beyond an average mid hc golfer. Professional thinking comes from Professionals, that's why they're Professionals. But you did present some solid tips and advice

I do games every time I play. On average, I am allowing me a bogey every 3 holes. I know you can't control bogey. But sometimes you get lucky too. So that is my game. That keeps my focus high as if I do not do this, then the mental game is getting distracted by the overall score. I could have a more bogeys, but if I did play the hole well, I will be okay with it. It is all about getting you in the zone when nothing can distract you. Love the game. Hard to stay focus 4.5 hours

I’ve been lucky enough to play with some tour pros and I’m a fairly decent player (5.1 hcap) and what stood out most with each of them was their short game shots. If they didn’t hit the green in regulation they got up and down almost every time. They had an array of shots in their arsenal around the green that were specific to the shot they were facing.

Thanks Matt for a really nice video. I’ve been playing just a little over a year, so I can’t wait to be only 3 over for 9 holes! One thing I noticed was almost all of your iron shots went more left than what you needed to be at the pins. Maybe you didn’t notice, but would it make sense to see a pattern like that when your not getting close & aim more right to compensate? Just wondering what your thoughts on this would be. Thanks!😊

My winter yardages are all over the place. Some times I can hit the normal club for distance but some times I’m taking a PW to hit the distance of my 56° Drives me nuts (Also still working with a new glasses prescription, half a tick stronger)

Question about wedges and shafts- Should wedges be the same shaft as your irons? I have UST Recoil shafts in irons but the standard wedge shafts in my Vokey SM8’s. What’s your idea on matching shafts to irons?

It’s been officially a year into my golfing adventure, that being said, every course is designed for a player to have 1 bad shot. If you break down the course, hit an average drive of 220, you can birdie every single hole but Par it easily. If you suck at Putting, that’s where bogeys will be your friend. Being an avid fisherman, I find that the day your golf swing is as fluid as a cast of a fishing pole, your game is gonna be easy.
