Thanks! I realized later that it should be inverted left to right to match official one that used in competitions :)

You should have done a test with long grain as well to see the difference

Thanks for this comparison. I already know what to fix the neck in my guitar, because until today I could not decide;)

I'm building a shelf tower out of a combo of plywood, solid wood and IKEA HEJNE uprights. I was starting to suspect that Titebond II might not be strong enough and considered getting Gorilla. After watching this experiment, it looks like Titebond _is_ strong enough for my project.

Stood at Menards yesterday, 15feb24 titebond II $7.49/16 oz. I bought gorilla type II 18 oz/ $ 7.00.

Nice. I habe to note though your test with Original isn't accurate because the pull lingered on it while you had to put an additional clamp.

Nice review! I quit using gorilla glue and went to titebond but it’s all good

Great point! It looks like almost all glues over satisfy reqs.

I wonder how the smoothness of the other pieces affected the glue strength. The end piece that was cut and had glue applied was fine, but the flat surface of the 2x3 is not smooth, would have been a more precise experiment to cut/flatten/sand that other side so all pieces have the same surface area contact distance.

Not really the best experiment. The pieces were sliding as you were pulling. Even after you added the second clamp.
