His performance in The World Is Not Enough is one of the best of series. He is straight cold when he has the final showdown with Elektra King. Brosnan was always the perfect combination of Connery and Craig. He could be cold and calculating, but at the same time delivering one liners and charisma.
@MaestroJericho
@MaestroJericho 4 жыл бұрын
I think they have to change around his background, wasn't Brosnan more naval officer while Craig was former commando? I think that's why Connery was so great since he can pull off being both. I can't buy Craig being smooth and cunning and I can't buy Brosnan being an ex-SAS type.

Sad fact: The first Bond film to mention EMPs was A View to a Kill. Unfortunately it was about the use of microchips that could resist an EMP, which would mean that had continuity been a thing, the Golldeneye would have been little threat to London.
@felixfeliciano7011
@felixfeliciano7011 3 жыл бұрын
Interesting plot point: The helicopter they chase for the first part of the movie was specifically designed to be EMP resistant. This indicates that the military knew about the threat of EMP but considered it a circumstantial enough of a problem to have only hardened specific equipment/installations.

Things I didn't like about this movie were the theme song and the score. Really dated '90s sound to it, which doesn't hold up as well as the dated-but-classic '60s sound of the Connery films.

I was a 9 year old extra in "Evelyn" and also did stand in work for one of the main kid actors so I got to hang out in the actors waiting area a bunch. Pierce was either trying to sleep between takes or super nice to all us extras, he autographed anything we brought him like napkins or styrofoam cups. Super nice guy

I had a friend in the Air Force who got injured on a TDY assignment. So for almost 6 months the only thing he was able to do was play golden eye. He'd play 1p all day while his buddy's were at work and when they got done they'd all play 4p all night. I've never seen someone so good at any game. I was terrible but he played me and 2 other guys that were pretty good players 3 v 1 and absolutely waxed us 95 to 4. It was the most insane beat down I've ever seen and I was on the receiving end. It was like he had a game genie and we had broken controllers.
