They also had some guests on, who worked on the game and all in all it's just a pretty fun & interesting watch, so I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested that kind of stuff or really wants to watch 2 grown men geek out about a game they made. I've had a soft spot for both Ewok films (outside of ROTJ) since watching them as a kid. Nostalgia aside, they're not particularly good films, but they're not awful either. They build on the Ewok lore in an interesting way. The log traps the Ewoks use in ROTJ on the AT-ST walkers were reasonably already set up as traps against a marauding Gorax. And neat to see more of the Ewok engineering in the form of their gliders and villages constructed at height. I always considered the Ewok 'magic' to be expanded use of the force by a shamanistic culture.

The actual reason II looks like that is because of the colour correction of the Blu-Ray that was made even worse by the Disney+ release. If you've ever seen a copy of it on DVD you'll see how much more vibrant and detailed it is. Same issue exists for III too but it's not nearly as bad.

If I had to guess, my impression from watching their podcast TheWeeklyPlanet is that initially, both of their opinions of recent Star Wars shows (like Obi-Wan and Ahsoka) were that they were just fine/average. But it seems like as Mason has had more and more time to think about them and possibly here what other people have to say, he has deeply soured on all of them and regularly jokes about them in a derisive way. I think in one of their recent podcasts talking about the Best/Worst Legacy properties he went as far as saying Obi-Wan was straight up bad. He already seemed unimpressed when he had to watch the Rebels season finale. And subsequently, since a lot of these shows are directly tied to TCW and Rebels, his opinions on those shows seems to have also soured, even though I recall him initially saying he was fine with TCW.
