Well done - back in the days I made my own bait with flour, margerine and water. Made it dusty so it would leave a trail of flour underwater and dissolve slowly. Cheap and easy.

You’re a genius positioning the net like that while measuring a fish I’m shocked I didn’t think of that myself

Thank you sir for sharing your tournament day on the lake you went above and beyond to find your bite and great job! Your custom bait was functioning very well do you have a video designing and putting it together? Tight lines take care and God bless!

Thanks so much! I do not have any videos designing my baits, but it has been a thought I've had in the past for content to add. Appreciate your watching and commenting on the video.

Great job putting Thomas the Trout thru his paces and ignoring the Spiders as you crawled under the train bridge. You definitely earned that win !

Most play chicken Limbo... but not you, you played Kris Limbo. Oh I can only imagine the gross hairy spiders on that bridge. Y-U-C-K....You should send that footage to the kayak company as it was sick.Love the narrating as you fished. Thomas the Trout works great and swims great, nice job. AND CONGRATS on the win. It was very well deserved. Hard work always pays off.

I know where you were. Technically NOT Winnisquam once you jumped the beaver damn. Maybe kayak tournaments have different rules 🤷 Since you were fishing un-pressured fish, it's less about the specific lure you were using. You probably could have caught a ton back there on basically anything. A rubber frog would've been killer, or a black Senko.

Some tournament rules have off limit areas and rules about leaving the kayak. Be interesting what the Bass Nation rules are on this. Was the area considered off limits and can he leave the kayak, drag over a beaver damn. I am going to say that it was ok considering he posted this video 😅

Thanks for watching the video, first of all! And yes, according to Navionics, tourney director, members of the committee and all NH maps, that water is a direct part of Winnisquam. And it's totally in bounds. BUT.....now here's the big but. According to the rules I'm NOT to leave my kayak and drag it over those few sticks and get back in. If I were to sit in it and scoot across it would be fine, and therefore this lead to an after season DQ as such. Had I not left my yak to get there, I would have 100% been in bounds according to multiple sources. I did in fact, screw myself.

I had sent a snip of this video to the tourney director and a member of the committee before fully editing this video, and they OK'd everything. I had also told competing members just where I was that day and everyone was fine with it. After I released this video, a disgruntled Bass Nation member reported it and the tourney director had to directly report it to Bass Nation. After further review...the fact I left the yak for those few seconds DQ'd me. If I'd have scooted....I would've stayed in bounds. Very much a learning situation for me here. Doesn't take away from the feeling this day gave me, and in pride I can feel like I won. But in reality, I got an out of season DQ. Hard lesson here.

Is Thomas the trout a homemade bait?
@MrTightLines18 күн бұрын
Yes, I have a shop here in Barnstead New Hampshire in which I run my small bait business out of. Thomas was the latest bait I made at the time, and put in tons of work for me last summer!
