Thanks for the video. Can you tell us how many bags (and their size) that you used in this video? Also, I read in a comment below that you cannot screw or nail into this? After I level my floor I want to install a red oak floor with a pneumatic nailer - do you know if there is a leveling compound I could use that would let me do this?

Awesome job. Didn't use straightedge this time. Question--What if you are only patching low areas, would you still use leveling or patch compound?
@MrYoucandoityourself6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff, Job price based on how much material , labor cost per hour and time. In this video example this 3 parts reasonable. If you will patching this floor - material price maybe less but labor and time much be more. For my 15 years experiences I did many different ways. This is final and I offer for you just do it, don't spend time for research. Thanks

Your videos are really great. I had a question though -- i read the instructions for levelquick RS and it states you need to do a water proofing membrane before applying the primer for OSB floors. And for either OSB or plywood you should put down metal lath/mesh across the floor.....what are your thoughts on that? If that is done then it requires a 1/2" thickness minimum?? Thanks!
@MrYoucandoityourself6 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I don't have experience with OSB leveling. Follow the instruction on the bag, or call to free phone line for support. Thanks!

One question: I can see that almost in every video you use Mapei Novoplan 2 Plus leveler but I cannot find it anywhere in the area I live. Almost every hardware store carry only "MAPEI Self Leveler Plus". Do you know any differences in these types of levelers? In my case I'm doing leveling on plywood subfloor.

Out of all your films this one is helping me the most. A previous failed attempt by a contractor is giving me concerns. He poured it in hot weather and spent too long trowelling and didn’t use a spiked roller, now the floor is uneven and has “waves” all over,averaging 10mm difference. I don’t want to remove what he did as it is more level than when he started. I can’t use straight edges on the sides and I don’t have tripods either so I’m going to screw/glue wooden packers to the floor after I figure out the height differences with a laser level. I plan on pouring the approximate amounts in each area then giving it a quick trowel round before quickly going over the lot with a spiked roller. Am I setting about it the right way? Greta films by the way 👏👍

What about concrete subfloors? They are a cool idea but it’s not about getting it level, it’s about getting it flat over 10ft. I poured 34 bags today and it’s perfect for my flooring but if I used these I think I would have poured double the amount And the customer would have got someone else to do it for half the cost.
