You presented the solution for how to go about bonding flooring to boards below... However, would there be a reason as to why one would place the extra adhesive along the tongue, rather than into the groove, as the latter would surely omit the likelihood of it squeezing up through the cracks and onto the surface. And, just to say, you could afford to go much bigger with that mallet.

I just share my technics. If you have a different idea - just do it!

Should have removed the baseboard. That would have allowed you to leave a little extra on that one board that you cut too short. With that little extra, you could have tapped that board right up against the other one, and there wouldn't be any gap. Nice video, but that gap you left is unprofessional. Reminds me of the work my father in-law does: he does 90% of it perfectly, and then he completely ruins the last 10% at the end, making the job look terrible.

Hi MrYoucandoityourself, I've got tile installed on first floor, seems like it's pretty much a brand new, I do not know when it's been installed since I bought a house 1.5 years ago. It does not peel off, I do not see anything wrong with it other then installation was done negligently and some tiles are not aligned properly, seems like previous owner saved money on installation. The main problem we do not like how tile looks like (color and pattern). Could you give me some advices what we can do in order to install a hardwood flooring. I'd like to get that job done by myself. Is it possible to put hardwood flooring on top of tile ?

Hi Alexandr, you can do it, just check level. Better cover with self leveling material firs and then install the hardwood floor. In this week I am doing floor prep for glue down. Owner removed all tile, and we grinding off mortar and leveling as well.Thanks.
