08th Team and War in the Pocket were my favorites! The character of Norris was as cool as the Gouf he piloted, and his skills were the amount of devastation left in his wake. The 4.5" Bandai figures that released about the time that this aired on Cartoon Network were nicely detailed as well.

Hey Meli, for older kits I use google translate’s camera feature and translate the characters to English. I got an old Zaku II 2.0 kit recently and it was all in Japanese. So that came in handy. Hope that helps!!!

08th MS Team is one of the best Gundam Series! Love me some Gouf Custom! I own the HG Gouf Flight Type, but unfortunately not the Gouf Custom. I keep holding out on a 2.0, but I doubt it will ever happen. I don't really like the regular Gouf as much.

To me as long as its not a plastic hand grenade its fine. As aesthetics. Its a customizers dream because its got that super hero body type. Doesnt look like a blocky robot.

I'm definitely with you on this one. Love the Gouf Custom and 08th MS Team, despite the show having a very odd finale. The fight with the team and the Ez-8 is one of the best. I really enjoy this kit myself. Also has a recolor in red for Gundam Breaker Battlelogue.

I own this one. definitely one of my favorite ms in my collection. I added some bullet holes, some dust detailing to make it look like it's been fighting in the desert, added some heat distress on the large mini gun, and some real type like decals.

I use Google translate to scan the Japanese in manuals and it translates everything (as well as Google translate knows how) into English. It’s cool because it does it in real-time. I can even use it to translate videos with Japanese closed captioning, as the captions pop up.

Got into Gunpla this tear because of this suit and kit. Gouf Custom was such a great suit in GBO2. I did also have the same issues with the hands on this kit too.

the HGUC Gouf Custom definitely hold the saber in the right hand, it doesn't just have the closed fist also the left hand doesn't even work for it as it's make for the gatling shield's handle which is thinner

This was my first kit, and I *loved* working on it, even when I snapped the eye piece in half and one of the elbow pieces snapped on the inside when I cut it out, which was weird, but it felt *great* to put together and I'd love to rebuild this one.

Great review! I got this same kit at AnimeNyc this year, along with a couple others. I've been a fan of gundam and especially 8th ms team for several years, but I've only now started getting into gunpla. I hope to build some of the more detailed ones like the sazabi and hi nu gundam once I get a bit more experience.

He's also got a notch under the shoulder joint that lets you actually lock the arm holding the gatling gun so it actually can't drop down if you need it.

Meli, how about Impulse Gundam, Double Zeta Gundam or even Strike Gundam? The Gundams that I mentioned have interchangeable accessories plus Double Zeta Gundam is an homage to the super robots back then in the 80's.

Hey Gunpla Meli .. I'm into Gunpla recently and only built MG sized units. Then I noticed something, why are the UC Gundams like my GP02A and Unicorn bigger than my Sandrock Custom Armadillo and Crossbone Full Cloth? They are all 1/100 MG, I don't understand ~ 🤨

0:55 That manual must belong in the times prior to when I got my Gundam Tristian from Twilight Axis. The manuals now are have them translated for English readers and I believe it's not just in English either. 8:25 nice pose of how you put the Gouf. 10:48 the HGUCHGAC/HGFC kits go by the scale based on the 1/1 scaling, but only calculated to scaling from the real size if it was built.
