Poor Abby. Poor you. The vet sounds like he is trying. And I agree a vet needs to be lovey to your babies. I could be your sister... I love my bed. I read there, I scroll on my phone, and eat my lunch reading on my bed. And I’m a crunchy person too. My husband is a sweets person. Give him a cookie but I want something salty and crunchy. Congrats on your 13 lbs!!! PS- I think the onesie on Abby is a smart idea.

Girlllll I spend wayyyyy too much time in my bed, my back hurts so I lay down …a lot! It used to drive me crazy but I’ve gotten used to it now and I prefer my bed to anything else! lol We don’t sit in the living room and watch TV, I lay in my bed and watch my phone and Clay lays in his and watches his TV AND his phone! 🫣 I’m going to try to get up more and maybe go walk at the park with Clay & the girls when it’s not 50 kabillion degrees! 🔥🔥🔥

I feel your frustration with the allergies. My brother's dog licks her paws a lot. Until they bleed. Nothing works.

Yesss!!! I’ve tried EVERYTHING and she’s still itchy as all get out! She might be a little less bad about scratching until she draws blood but I have been putting bleach in her bath water (I bathe her 2-3 times a week) and that seems to help a little. 😭😭😭 I feel so sorry for her I know it’s got to be soooo exhausting!

I eat that Keto bread that you were talking about, sometimes. I toast it every time I eat it. It is good like that. Sometime I just get tired of it.🤗

Girlllllll I bought another loaf yesterday and this morning when I was backing out to take Abby to the vet, I BACKED OVER MY $6.18 loaf of keto bread!!! Clay had dropped it getting the groceries out of my car last night and didn’t see it and I didn’t notice it wasn’t in my grocery haul!!! 😭😭

@MsDreamcakes some unsolicited advice, take her to a specialist. Your vet doesn't have an answer, don't spend more money with him, you are likely to end up with a specialist. You will save yourself time and money and find a solution more quickly.

He has mentioned the specialist and the only reason I haven’t lined that up already is, that visit starts at $600 and it doesn’t make sense to me (I know I’m nobody and they have the education) but he said she would test her to see exactly what she’s allergic to and would then make a vaccination for her based on that information which would be giving her small amounts of it, so she could build antibodies against it. But to me it’s not making sense because she’s being exposed to it right now and it’s causing this crazy reaction….how is giving her small amounts going to fix the problem?!? I might very well end up there but at the moment I’m not sold. Or maybe my ignorance is showing and I just don’t understand how it works?!? 🥴🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't say anything to upset anyone, but my pomeranian got pancreatis so bad from pork. He had two iv and had to stay at the vet it broke my heart soo much it was hard hecwas soo sick. I just wouldn't want to see other dogs get it. I'm so very sorry she has allergies, so badly poor dog that breaks my heart too. I hope you find something eventually that helps her so she is not so miserable. I hate to see her miserable. I will pray that a soulution comes your way for Abbey. ❤

I never want that for anyone's dog after what my baby went through. He was never the same. After that, then he got cancer. 😔😫 but I hope they figure things out very soon.

My dog had skin sensitivity from his shampoo and conditioner. I had to go completely unscented and he now uses the Speak Emu shampoo and conditioner from Amazon. It works well. I’m not sure if that could help your baby or not.

I mentioned to the vet wondering if it could be something the groomer is using but he said he didn’t think so….but to be fair, we have no idea what’s causing this reaction in her. I don’t think we will ever know unless we go to the specialist and have testing done to find out but that testing is soooo expensive! 🥴 I’ve found kits on Amazon but the reviews sound very unreliable! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi Gina, first congratulations on the weight loss, second about Abby, I mentioned this in a comment on your other vlog, but maybe it was missed. We had a dog that suffered with allergies, and she was like Abby her belly was bald and raw, and as soon as she was put on a vegetarian diet, all the itching went away. Have you tried eliminating all meat? Is Abby a sensitive dog? What I mean by that does she stress easy? Could it be the heat? It sounds like the vet is covering every area, diet, parasites, infection. If it is environmental and you don’t take her outside, is it possible there is any mold in the house? Even dust mites? Dust mites live in not just bedding, but carpets too. It sounds like her poor little immune system is in overdrive from some irritant, but for our dog it was all meat. Our girl lived on rice, veggies, and a vegetarian dog food.

Thank you Linda! I do remember seeing your comment about your dog being vegetarian, I might have to try that? I just don’t think it’s food because Mama fed her what she ate and she lived on chicken tenders, hamburgers, and ramen noodles 😬 and Abby ate right along with her. Also, this didn’t start until I had had her for 10-11 months so I would think if it was her food it would have started as soon as she came here and started eating with us? She’s actually a VERY nervous dog. We have kids that play out in the street and they squeal and holler and that will make her shake like crazy…and don’t let it come a thunderstorm….she goes NUTS! The 4th of July was awful, I thought about getting her some of those calming gummies or something. This past October we had a garage sale and I let both girls lay out in the yard that day, they both got a flea and I truly believe that’s what set all this in motion. 😫🤷🏼‍♀️😫

Woohoo. Good for you 13lbs 🎉 that's great. Poor Abby 😢did you clean your carpets something? When i worked in a kennel way back in the 80s 😮 a Saint Benard came in for a month because the owners had to re-shampoo the carpets several times because of whatever the professional cleaners used, he was allergic to. Just a thought. But Abby looks so cute in her little shirts. Fingers crossed you figure this out. Have a great weekend.

Thank you thank you thank you!! 🥰 I’m very happy with how the diet is going, I haven’t felt real restricted and the weight is still coming off so I’m thrilled, now hopefully when I get my bloodwork done again, my triglycerides will have come down too!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 That’s a great idea about the carpet, I do clean mine but I only use peroxide and water. When I used a pet product I felt like it left it kinda sticky to the touch so I’ve been using peroxide and water since before I got her. I’ve also wiped her stomach down with straight peroxide in case she had staph on there again and it didn’t make a difference at all so I’m assuming the peroxide in the carpet isn’t what’s bothering her? I’m going to pull it all out soon though and put down wood because while they do mostly pee on the pee pads they do miss and get half on half off the pee pads, so I want the carpet gone so I can clean the floors better! Kamren mentioned that maybe there’s still some cat dander left in the house from when we had cats? I can’t imagine there’s any left but maybe it is? I don’t really think that’s it because my sister in law that took care of her a lot for Mama had cats?!?! Girl, I’m just at a loss…. I have no idea what’s makin this sweet little girl so miserable!!! 😭

I have no idea Paula! The vet doesn’t either, he said it could one of a million different things. He said we could go see that specialist in Dallas (that visit starts at $600 😳) and they will test her and know exactly what she’s reacting to and make a vaccine of that, to help her build antibodies against it. But that doesn’t make sense to me really …she’s being exposed every day to what ever it is which is what’s causing this problem!?! I know he knows more than I do and I do trust him so I guess I’ll have to get another job! lol 🥴🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi Gina , had to take my furbaby back to the vet for allergies. She had red spots all over her mouth, back end, neck feet. It was awful. I told the vet nothing she gave her helped last time. She's back on steroids. Oh yeah she had an ear infection Yeast in her ears. My vet says its the food , but its every time i put flea prevention on her She gets really bad The vet doesnt get it. Hope our fubabies get better soon! 😢

Oh nooo Jada, I hate to hear that! Dealing with allergies is soooo frustrating! I kinda think them saying it’s their food is the same thing as when I go to the doctor they blame everything on me being fat! I could have a hangnail and they would say it’s because of my weight! 😵‍💫 What has your vet said about putting your baby on steroids? Has he said you shouldn’t do it? Or that it’s bad?

@@MsDreamcakes well, my fur baby had to have some relief. We did try another flea prevention. Credello. Half one month , half the other. She's finally getting relief from itching I don't know for how long She had yeast infection all over & those poor ears. I'm happy we're both getting some sleep right now. 🥰
