Marnie, I purchased this brush about 2 weeks ago and have used it 3 times. I have wavy/curly hair which easily frizzes, and this brush is fabulous - leaves my hair super smooth as close to a salon blowout as I've ever been able to accomplish!

I have used Conair similar to yours for many years but my brush is smaller in diameter. It's great for above the shoulder length hair and is half the price. I rough dry my hair with my usual hair dryer and complete the look with the dryer brush. It's transforming!

This thing has changed my life, and I am not prone to hyperbole. I have nearly the very same hair texture as you do, Marnie. I also find that it turns out the best if I use this thing on wet hair, right out of the towel. Rough drying it first does kick up the frizz. The whole process takes me 15 minutes, and the frizz stays at bay all day long, which is a first for me. I tend to use pretty low end styling products, so there, we differ, but I can get the same amazing results. Thanks for sharing your routine!

I’ve had mine since Christmas and I love it! I have chin-length hair and it does a great job smoothing my hair. I only use a flatiron occasionally where I had to use it every time I dried my hair with a traditional blow dryer. I only use the low heat setting to dry my hair and follow with the cool setting at the end.

I'm so glad you did this because I wanted to see someone with my texture of hair use it. I've seen people with really curly hair and really straight but mine is very curly underneath and straight on top. Mine also looks like I don't use a brush if I let it air dry.

I received this dryer in December. My hair is shoulder length, thick and straight as a stick. It takes a long time to dry so I either have to wash my hair at least an hour or more before I use it or partially dry with my old blow dryer. I find the high setting is Very Hot! But overall I like the ease of using this product and the volume, sleek results and that it doesn’t get tangled in my hair. Drying small sections is definitely the best technique. Thanks for the tip about blowing with the cool setting to finish!

Don’t sell yourself short. I’ve been a licensed stylist for 15 years. I can’t round brush my own hair. This tool is great! I have two at home for myself and my two daughters. We love them and I do recommend them so long as people are using quality heat protectants.

So glad to see this - perfect timing for me! I purchased this last week after Lisa J's tutorial. Ulta was offering 350 bonus points on a $50 purchase and I was able to get the last one in my store. I have used it twice and I do like it but the T3 dryer was still a nicer blowout for me. I purchased this for travel and I know it will be great on the go but your method for drying the top of your hair is exactly what I needed to see. Can't wait to use mine again now - thanks!

I did it this morning and now12 hrs later, it still looks PERFECT. Haven't even had to comb it!! It took less than 15mins and no iron needed. I can throw out all my flat and curling irons. I was SHOCKED that it WORKED my FIRST TRY!!! LOTS of body and shine, stays in place with minimal hairspray on crown and fringe. I LOVE the way it frames my face and NO MORE FLATNESS on my crown!!! Thank you so much for this life changing tutorial and recommendation!!!!! ❤💐❤🌼❤🌷❤

I have curly hair too (maybe a little curlier than yours) and I am enjoying the Revlon dryer as well. I wash my hair at night. I let my hair dry a good bit naturally then I use the Revlon dryer. I find that when I first use it (on low heat) my hair will be frizzy but if I leave it alone and let the hair cool, the frizz calms down and my hair turns out great!

My hair came out GREAT! nice, smooth and no frizz (which is my worst enemy, living in Washington State). I subscribed again, after a long absence! I don't know what happened but anyways, it was nice to see you again. I'm going to buy that hairstyler tomorrow and am kind of excited about it. I've been growing my hair out for the first time since high school and it's a bear to blow it out with a regular brush, round brushes and a hair dryer. Thanks for the video!
@cherylb67555 жыл бұрын
Hey Marnie~ My hair is to my collar bone, dry, fine, curly, wiry, frizzy; it's got a mind of its own.... My ability to do my hair makes you look like the consummate professional with years of experience. That is before today and my watching your video. I actually bought the Revlon One Step and returned it because all my hair did was frizz. To be honest, I've only had one professional blow-out that I thought wasn't too bad (they always give up trying to get rid of the frizz...). Usually I'm battling with a blow dryer, round brush, two hair irons, and burned fingers. I'd watched dozens of One Step videos here on KZbin, some by professional stylists. It wasn't until I watched your video - this one - that it all finally made sense to me. I got another One Step and just used it for the first time. I got one freakin' awesome blowout! Even the parts that frizz really badly are smooth and sleek! Thank you... thank you... thank you! Some things I did given your process, which I followed exactly, and your comments: (1) I dried each section from at least two angles - horizontally from the bottom and from the top, and sometimes also vertically - from one side or both; (2) I started on High, went down to Medium, and finished on Cool (which hardly feels cool to me); (3) on the especially frizzy parts around my hairline I dried the section from all four planes - bottom, top, right, and left; (4) I used the two longer flatter sides of the brush to straighten and smooth, and I used the two shorter rounded ends of the brush to curl the ends, going quickly over the side I didn't want (the shorter side when I was trying to straighten and smooth) and more slowly over the side I wanted (the longer side when I was trying to straighten and smooth) - and the reverse when I was trying to curl the ends. I let the One Step do all the work, which is the complete opposite of what I usually have to do. I will be trying some of the products you talked about - Aveda Brilliant Damage Control and Living Proof 5-in-1 Styling Treatment, and maybe the Aveda Smooth Infusion Styling Cream. Thank you for sharing... all of it!

I have this hair dryer/straightener/curler. Thank you for demonstrating how you use yours. I have very similar hair, curly underneath, and somewhat straight and/or wavy on top. I have a lot of baby fine hair, so it looks thicker than it is. It also tends to get frizzy if I let it dry naturally. However, mine is longer than yours. Your video makes me want to cut my hair. I bought this a few months ago when it was half off at Ulta. My hair is wavy and super fine so instead of a nice wave it just looks scraggly if I air dry. I've never in my life been able to blow dry my hair at home with a round brush. I have scoliosis and all sorts of spinal issues that prevent me from lifting both hands over my head for a long period of time. I bought this after seeing another youtuber rave about it and girl, I am hooked! For the first time in my life I can do my hair at home without fatiguing my arms and giving up. It does get exceptionally hot so I try to only use it a few times a week and my fine hair gets pretty flat but the ends stay flipped and cute. I do my hair similar to how you do it with the sections so I really enjoyed this review. I have a shoulder length lob and I do wish Revlon made a smaller barrel for shorter hair, but I make the narrower end of the oval shape work. Anyway, great review!

I have a similar issue as you. Just can’t handle a brush as it’s too tiring. Does this brush rotate? I can’t tell and I’m confused since she twists the brush. I thought the whole purpose of this brush is to let it do the rolling for you.
