This msi center software is absolute garbage. My fans are always loud af, always running at more than 3000 rpm. When I change from extreme performance mode to balanced mode or silent mode, it absolutely does nothing to the fans. Even in silent mode the fans are running at over 3000 rpm

You need to restart the pc, and the silent and balanced modes work perfectly on my pc i don’t think it’s garbage but when i turn them on the performance goes down serious

As someone that used Asus Armour Crate, MSI Center is more simplistic and straight forward.

You probably have a High Perfomance CPU with a dedicated GPU, of course it will keep running too cooling down the CPU & GPU because they heats up very easily, I have an MSI Modern 14 and ASUS FX553VD, and the big difference is that FX553VD fan are always running and never stops even on Auto mode while the Modern 14 fan on Auto/Smart AI mode sometimes stops and only running when the CPU heat has reached higher temperature, the FX553VD also have a louder fan noise since it has a bigger fan size

@@kaidoless2137 I looked up my specific Laptop Model on MSI website. For some reason, each Laptop Model has a different version of MSI Center or MSI Dragon Center. Even when I got the right MSI Center for my laptop that had Hardware Monitoring, it still didn't have an option to switch Graphic Mode. Then under Utilities or Drivers tab you should see the Center for your laptop.

@Bob-qp2ol I have no idea unfortunately. All I can suggest is to uninstall and then re-install the software. If that doesn't help, then please head over to MSI support forums and ask there.

@rtekツ There are so many issues with these softwares. My best suggestion is uninstall all the components of it, restart, then re-install. If that doesn't work contact MSI or look at their support forums.

Bro I am facing power button orange light issue in my new Katana A15 B8v , It hardly turns to blue/white and always stays on orange , It's sucking my battery pretty fast than usual , Orange usually means it's using gpu but it's on all the time even when I am on igpu and doing nothing , pls suggest some solution over this issue.

Uninstall and reinstall gpu drivers for NVIDIA. You may have to use DDU to uninstall in safe mode if that doesn't work.

I don't have an MSI device right now to test. Perhaps someone else in the comments section who has an MSI device can help out. If not, I'd say search the MSI support pages or help. Each laptop comes with a manual that you can download and it will specify charging modes.

@1v1bud Set it to MSI AI Engine and forget it. It'll handle most things capably well. When you want to play games, go in and manually choose Extreme Performance mode.

@yowie69 Are you sure you don't have preserve battery options set in the BIOS? Check out MSI laptop BIOS and battery settings. There should be something. Unless the battery is so far degraded that it can't charged past 60% anymore.
