I agree that baos should steamed for a more soft/fluffy texture. The shrimp baos seemed to be a bit lacking before you doctored it up. I like a bao with a lot of filling, so I usually buy the “Big Chicken Bao” in Chinatown with ground pork/chicken, boiled egg, Chinese sausage, and shataki mushroom inside. All baos freezes well and taste like freshly bought when reheated in the steamer. Love your food videos!

The Bao buns by themselves were so awesome. But I did not find the shrimp that great, and I didn't like the sauce. I will do as you suggested and put the Trader Joe's sweet chili sauce, and maybe the Thai sweet chili sauce in instead. I too feel that if the shrimp was crisper it would be so much more delicious. I will buy one more pack & some sauce and see if it's any better, and will include a crunch like cucumber. I loved the Bao buns. Thanks for your review. Much appreciated.

I love those baos I have bought them a couple times now. I will try next time adding more shrimp to them and a some fresh vegetables, that sounds really good. Thanks for the review.
