Annie is a national treasure. She is seemingly fearless on the outside but warm and caring in the inside. She is right about artists being sensitive. I love her voice and her music. I recall her saying when asked why she cut her hair short and dyed it bright orange, that she didn’t want to be “another pretty blonde” she wanted to be admired for her work not her personage. I think she and Dave Stewart were both Mavericks IMO.

i was at a meditation class one day in London and there was one seat spare next to me. Just as we were about to start someone came rushing in and sat down beside me. it was Annie Lennox! All i had in my head throughout the whole meditation was 'Sweet Dreams'. She spoke at the end and was intelligent and kind..much like she is here..lovely woman.

I've never heard any scandal coming from her. She comes across as very likeable and her voice is very soothing. I didn't know she was Scottish. I remember when I was probably just a teen I saw her doing an interview in the early 80s and she walked in with that amazing bright hair in a very modern type of space the interview was set in and though I wasn’t really into her music then, I felt she was from another world that was kinder and more beautiful than ours. She was so comfortable being her.

I met her when I was 15 years old in San Antonio. I waited until like midnight at the Majestic Theater after their concert there in 1984. She's as gracious now as she was then..and TOTALLY agree with her mention of the Album 1984...if you haven't listened to it....definitely suggest doing it! It's a MUST have in one's Eurythmics collection.

When I was just shy of six years old, I saw the Sweet Dreams video with my older sister and thought Annie Lennox was David Bowie's sister. I typically do not like female singers but Annie's is a treasure among artists across all mediums, nationalities, and genders.
