I think what this moment shows us is the vulnerability of our two party system and the problem of the electoral college. It is not a democracy when a candidate can lose the popular vote by millions and still take power and impose the policies of the minority. We need real election reform: ranked voting to make third parties viable, either abolish the electoral college or make those ballots proportional, and make statehood a reality for DC, Puerto Rico, etc.
