Eegah has this sense to it where you can feel the 50s turning into the 60s. All of Arch Hall's crooning is 50s style, but the opening credits and the music behind them are really psychedelic for a movie made in 1962. I always loved that.

The motel in this movie always charmed me: the bright colors, the pool, so 1960s. The room with the oven in the living room was actually where the guy who played Mr. Miller lived, which could be why it looks more like a home than a motel room.

It's so strange how even some of the most popular actors in history have landed roles in bad movies at some point in their careers. For example, James Best starred in "The Killer Shrews", Ron Howard was in "Village Of The Giants", Peter Graves was in two MST3K-riffed movies "The Beginning Of The End" and "Parts The Clonos Horror", Michael Landon was in "I Was A Teenage Werewolf", Raul Julia was in "Overdrawn At The Memory Bank", etc.

My biggest pet peeve is that Werewolf movie isn't considered bad, it's a legendary well known b-movie to the point where numerous tv shows make episode title that parody that movie's title, and ever since then, I'm always reminded of this show because of it. No, you're thinking of Jack O'Halloran, who is "only" 6.6 feet tall. However, Richard Kiel (the actor of Eegah) is most known as the Bond villain Jaws from The Spy Who Loved Me (and Moonraker, but we all like to forget about that movie). He's also in The Human Duplicators, another movie featured in MST3K.
