Why the hell did they never broadcast this in the UK ? I know a lot of the references are US based, but we all watch so much US tv growing up that even I get most of them. And the humour is so sardonic, clever, dry and often just silly it would have been perfect on late night telly.

I really enjoyed the short about the dairy farm. I have relatives about a hundred miles away from where I grew up that have a farm (still do), and we got to ride horses and climb haystacks, etc. as kids. Never forced to do any manual labor so that's even better. It sounds corny, but it's a good memory of a simpler time (that really wasn't - just viewed through the eyes of a child).

And the fake premise of the “experiment” is for Dr. Forester to bombard Mike and the bots with the crappiest movies he can find to cause his “subjects” to lose their minds. So “Citizen Kane” was never going to be a choice, and if the crap movies bother you, then you can watch something else! Folks like me love the combination of the terrible acting and the brilliant riffing!
