Why the hell did they never broadcast this in the UK ? I know a lot of the references are US based, but we all watch so much US tv growing up that even I get most of them. And the humour is so sardonic, clever, dry and often just silly it would have been perfect on late night telly.

I really enjoyed the short about the dairy farm. I have relatives about a hundred miles away from where I grew up that have a farm (still do), and we got to ride horses and climb haystacks, etc. as kids. Never forced to do any manual labor so that's even better. It sounds corny, but it's a good memory of a simpler time (that really wasn't - just viewed through the eyes of a child).
@TlalocW

@Jimmy L Needham I'm sorry to hear about your needing surgery to correct your micro-penis issue as that's the only reason I can figure you'd have for needing to shit on a fond memory from the 70s and 80s... before drones. ASS-ume much, snowflake? And for your information while I didn't grow up on a farm I was surrounded by them and got jobs every summer doing something - like bucking bales - while I also held down a paper route requiring me to get up at 3 am every day of the year, earned a full ride scholarship to college and worked at several jobs for extra money, and have opened several businesses since then so save your macho bullshit of earning your way for your reconstructive urologist, cupcake. Maybe he'll be impressed.

"It sounds corny..." Ha, corny, about a farm, ha, I see what you did there. Also, I enjoyed how you handled the unneccissary Shi!tty comment, Bravo!! I had a friend whose Grandparents had a small farm. I got to drive a horse and cart, we played in the hayloft, (and as a side note, just remembered, we found out that Crisco is not a tub of cake frosting, it really, really isn't.) Thanks for sharing your positive memory. "And we'll call if we ever find your arm." "Uncle Jim is an edgy man who should not be riled." We all had one.
@bigduke5902
@bigduke5902 Жыл бұрын
Why would this sound corny? Because it's a genuine memory without a shred of cynicism, deconstruction, or guilt? Just by prefacing this with a warning of incoming corn proves that it was indeed a simpler time. You really don't have to try so hard to show you aren't like previous generations in lionizing your own past.

Apparently the two people who replied before me don't understand the reference. It's not about dumping things in rivers with no consequences. Had a BF that worked for the EPA. He turned Roseacre Egg Farm in for throwing chicken guano into a creek. Subsequently, swarthy dudes in Lincolns were trailing him on I-65. The EPA hid him away for a couple years and told him from now on, keep his mouth shut.@@Nmethyltransferase
