You can trace frames then piece it together, hardest part if you’re not animator (which I’m the furthest from) is using unique frames/assets and making it flow the same. Ultimatums are great because it appears sloppy, a mistake or cut corner(s) can seem purposeful. Most of all though it’s time consuming, a lot of GIMP and clip timing. If you piece one together come back here and share it!

I don’t know any of the animation nomenclature so bare with if I sound like I have no clue, because ultimately I don’t lol. I screencapped frames that moved and used GIMP to draw whatever frames moved and pieced them together in sequence. So when you see the handler (or Claus) move that was a singular cutout against a background. You can see where I left the splices in, so whatever has a weird ring around it has multiple “frames”. I have ancient Movie Studio Platinum 16 software that constantly crashes, no animation software whatsoever.

In short, make “assets”, motion mimicking frames of those assets, put them together on an editing software timeline, and there, that’s how I did it. Probably the worst way to do it, but I’m happy with what I got. Just know that straight tracing isn’t going to work, since the goal isn’t to completely remake Ultimatum, so at the very least some crude drawing skills are needed. And a little is all you need, these memes allow for sloppiness and I think thats very accessible and what makes these fun to make.
