I’m on IOS and am still using the MT platform. It makes no difference on desktop and if you already have it on your phone, you’re fine. If someone didn’t already have it on their phone, they weren’t using it anyway and can learn something else. There’s no reason for anyone to freak out over it.

One suggestion regardless, on the iPhone, uncheck “Automatic App Updates” until the dust settles on this in case Apple makes a change to the modified date of the app to force an “update” that could remove it from the phone. Be safe out there, people.

Even if you currently have MT4/5 on your phone, how many updates of iOS before they no longer will function? I haven't upgraded to iOS 16 because of the reported issues yet, but there will be no means for MT4/5 to continue upgrading with the iOS changes, so the apps will eventually stop functioning.

This is not the first time Apple is doing this to protect their company. Its just a trend. Back then, when there was a news about the game Flappy Bird causing teen to harm themselves so they decided to take it down quickly. There were plenty of app being taken down everyday because the society (their source of income/investors) didn't like it, it's a pretty common theme when it comes to Apple.
