Thanks for your help!! I retired the knot at the handle but never rewound the spring.... Then I took the whole thing apart and the spring went keeflooie!! 😂

Using a squeeze clamp I was able to rewind... reinstall the spring and get it back together.

I’ve been doing this for 60 years and I had no trouble putting starter rope back in the pulley again you make a job look hard and it’s not
