Mathilda, I love you SO much, for being willing to answer these uncomfortable questions. You're doing such a wonderful service for others who might be feeling the way that you used to about your body. You show them that there is light at the end of the tunnel. That it IS possible for them to lead a happy life. Kudos, milady!! ❤️❤️❤️

@@ItsOnlyFear-sg4tj WRONG!! The regret rate is less than 2% worldwide. That means there's a 98% non-regret rate. Or to say it a different way...98% of people who have the surgery are completely happy about it. You can't find any other surgery in the world with approval rates like that. So please discontinue spreading false information. It helps no one at all. In fact lies like that are meant to harm other people. Maybe try being a positive influence on other people and you'll end up being a much better human being.

Glad to see this so I have a better idea of what to expect when I go under the knife myself. Already on HRT for four months and counting and can't wait to have bottom surgery done. I'm more worried about the hospital stay than the surgery itself, though. I have a pet parrot at home and don't like the idea of being away from him for however long the hospital stay is. Ricky (a blue-fronted amazon) and I spend every day together and most of the day, he's out of his cage. It's a big cage but he's usually on my shoulder or his open stand.

@ I live in Australia, there is healthcare but it is not free for things that aren't physically necessary (the liberal government has made sure that psychologically necessary things don't count, though with labor finally in charge that might change) and so it still costs $30,000 for the genital surgery alone here.

Another great question. What did it feel like taking a whiz? Firstly. Mathilde had mentioned. When we had our catheters removed. She expressed an uncomfortable painful removal. I on the other hand. Was so damned relieved to get that thing out. If there was any pain? I sure don't remember any. I was happy to get that thing out. Of course a few hours later. Comes the next exciting thing. My first girly whiz on my own. On my own potty. All by myself. And now what do you do with that thing? And how do you do it? Do you fold the toilet paper like a wipe in back? Or do you crush it into a POOFY ball? But I have to go no matter what. It was a rude experience a rude feeling. It felt like it took a quick exit ramp off of a freeway. Too fast. It wasn't comfortable at first. It wasn't comfortable at second. I don't know on third. When in a week or two. It just felt normal again. Oh and. I still switch it up. I use both methods with the toilet paper. But I'm inconsistent. Straight wipes and POOF's. Rarely both together. But sometimes, well. You can't tell if you're shooting straight. You can't aim anymore. And it makes for much more difficult rugged camping. As I was an avid camper. It's a little less easy now. And paid for commercial campsites. Are much more female friendly. Than getting poison ivy. I'm happy to say I don't know ivy. I try to keep my distance from her. She's not friendly. She can really get under your skin. I'm sorry there I go again. Always looking for that opportunistic punchline. RemyRAD PS it's American humor like Al Franken

No way! Someone only had a local to have the surgery so she could watch in real time? No funky way! I'm sorry that is just, tooo, over the top. That is just too kinky. That's some kind of,, fanaticism. Me? I was up there with my loving partner. And since he had been a EMT and a cop. I simply got permission from my surgeon. To have my husband set up the tripod right behind them overtop his shoulder. And video the procedure in its entirety. And so the video is 2.5 hours long. While the procedure actually took approximately an additional two hours. It was, what we refer to in the broadcast industry as, telescoped. Which means. It's not always cutting and sniffing. It's not always cutting and snipping. There is a lot of quiet down time in between. Other preparatory and ongoing procedures. Not necessary to the video. Along with the limited battery life. And length of the digital videotape in 2001. I decided to get my surgery in a kind of, Stanley Kubrick way. And it's not something that I can still easily watch, today. 20 years later. I just never really cared for those kinds of college education procedural TV shows. I had to actually shoot others for my career. The tooth pulling one was really bad. No, really. I'm serious. Okay okay I'll tell you here. Briefly. So I'm a professional audio guy. I go out with my boss and the cinematographer. To the University of Baltimore's Dental Clinic.. And we are to film some tooth extractions. And the whole point of this being. To provide an and it's easy. To keep the patient conscious. But feeling no pain. And that anesthesia was? What we all know as, Nitrous Oxide or NO a.k.a. Laughing Gas. It's laughing gas. And so they give this guy's a laughing gas. And they proceed to stick their knee into his abdomen. And yanking his tooth out. Like you would see. In a WC Fields movie, the Three Stooges, etc. And the guy is screaming in pain. At the top of his lungs! And I can't take it! I can't stand there with the microphone and the tape recorder over my shoulder. I just couldn't take it! But I had to. It was very painful for me. And when the extraction was over. They turned off the laughing gas. And this guy had been awake the whole time for sure. Screaming his guts out. Like being killed by Hitler's Doctor Mangler. And the doctor looks at him. And asked him if he felt any pain? And he smiled and said no. He felt no pain. NO! ME THE AUDIO GUY! I FELT THE PAIN! AND I WAS 6 FEET AWAY! So laughing gas obviously works great. Maybe that's what they gave her? I can't imagine? Because you don't remember anything. It puts you into a state of amnesia while conscious. So you don't remember the pain you are experiencing at that moment. It's goofy. I mean you know it was being done. That's about all. So she may have been awake. But she wasn't really awake. Not awake enough to remember it.. Or maybe they gave her a spinal block? Like a woman giving birth would be offered? And that would be her one and only time to experience childbirth? Sure! Sure what the FUCK. But would have been so much easier just to video it. It probably would have cost less? And what else would you say? Oh no don't use that sized scalpel. Use the other one, doctor. I like that one better. That one looks better to me. That one is goldplated. The one you were going to use is not. And so I want the goldplated one. With the diamond -tipped knife edge. Because they are a girls best friend. Blaha ha ha ha. I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself. Because I am myself. Postop. And well also. I had worked for the NBC television network for 20 years. And I never went anywhere without a couple of cameras. And camcorders. And tape recorders. And mixers. And microphones. It was a sickness I had. And still do. It's called Audio Engineering. And I shall, Rock. Till I Drop. Because that's the only way to go. Jerry Garcia Jan Morris and Christine Jorgensen went that route. Jerry is grateful and hopefully the other two are also. As they made it to the other side. So did I and I'm not dead yet.. RemyRAD

So I'm back. I'm going increment by increment here. How long does it take to heal? That should have been met. With. How old are you? What kind of physical condition are you in? Small, medium, large, 5XXX? Yes for Mathilde at her sweet young age. She said one year. I had mine at 45. I felt I was healed fully after a year and 1/2. I'm currently 65 now. And if I had waited this long? And had lived my life through. As a woman. With extra baggage. I think I would still be apt. To go through with the SRS. But I would definitely have to ask myself why that would be necessary at that point. And what the reason might be for that? As I've also known plenty of other gorgeous women just like yourself. That have lived that way. And either their male partners love that. Or their female partners love that. And so do they. But we all weren't made that way. You weren't. And you had the distinct advantage of being incredibly beautiful. And 100%. A 10. And any man would be lucky to have a vivacious beautiful woman such as yourself. And I could not say that any planner. However that does not go for me.. I'm really no different though. From my female colleague engineers. We all worked along side of. At NBC-TV, Washington, DC. And we all pretty much dressed and looked, alike. Except that some of us used the other bathrooms. I had my choice of bathrooms. Everyone else didn't. And I'm Jewish. And I was the chosen person. Fancy that? Now here's the funny part. I'm an audio engineer at NBC-TV. I'm in my own control room. Separated from that of the video control room. And right outside the door of my control room. Directly across my hall. Not more than 5 feet away. Was the men's room at this end of the hallway. The ladies room was at the total opposite end of the hallway. From where I was. And I got some great comedy material. Under my skirt. Using the men's room at NBC-TV, Washington DC. Particularly. Because of this game show. And so this game show. That was produced there. Was a high school game show. An NBC security. Generally kept all of the high schoolers corralled. At the front of the building. But boys will be boys. Just not all of us. And occasionally. 5 teenage boys compiling in the men's room. Only to find a woman in a red dress reapplying her makeup. And you get some great comedy material from those moments. They are precious. It inspired me to start doing standup comedy. And you're doing it right now. And you're great at it! You keep it light and friendly. You keep it right. You do it right. I love you. Too bad you're not a lesbian. I could teach you. My lesbian husband explained it all to me. I think I got the hang of it after 22 years. And I would love to convert you. I'm a lot of fun. At 65. I've had a lot of practice. I make rock 'n' roll recordings for a living. Or did. Before everybody went viral. And we didn't. Your virtuality is terrific! I think that's a computer term these days? And you've gone from TV to VT? That's in Vermont. That's also cold. You should do fine there. I'm sure you have quite the following there. They are an interesting group. Actually a lot of saps. They make a lot of maple syrup. They are sweet people. And some actually are. And I'm not sure about the molasses in February? That's why I moved further south where it's much warmer. Girl, I think we both need a little sun. Which is the only kind of baby I can have. A tan. Coppertone Girl RemyRAD

I have to say that if you looked differently than you do now before surgeries, then your surgeon is the reincarnation of Michelangelo. If not, still gorgeous and the accent is rawr. Glad you are happy to be who you are now. I could only wish that every person knew who they are and was as steadfast in what they need to feel complete as you. The rest of us are floating in a never-ending void of what we were programed to do, and what we are told we are supposed to be. Life should always be about finding the true self and I am glad that you found you. Stay up, boo boo.

My dysphoria is so bad I started having dreams again where I am completely covered with hair from head to toe and that my penis is so large that it goes from my crotch all the way to below my chin and then the testicles are huge to where they go down to my knees I keep having that dream nightmare or you could say constantly and then it even now is invading my every day thoughts I can’t stand anything about my body I wish I could just jump out of this body into the body that I want and should have because this dysphoria is really not helping my depression problems that I have and or my anxiety because I have multiple disorders and I can’t take too much more I’m hoping to get my surgery soon on top of that also in the nightmare I am completely flat my boobs are gone and I also need to get breast augmentation which because of being boutique like I am I am most likely going to go with 20 mL like you did Matilda my phone microphone is not working correctly I apologize for spelling and grammar errors and lack of punctuation’s due to the fact that I also cannot read or write that well so I use Siri and the keyboard microphone for everything

I’ve been told that I should continue to masturbate until surgery because it gives the surgeon more to work with, but I don’t even like to touch myself when peeing or showering because of my gender dysphoria. Did you have this problem, and, if so, how did you deal with it?

I'm just starting to pursue bottom surgery. It still feels like such a huge process and I don't know where to start. I've been aro/ace all my life. Realizing that was unrecognized gender dysphoria makes me want it even more. I realized I'm already not so Aro and I'm pretty sure I will be a lot less Ace as before. What was the process like to actually get to the point you had a surgery date? What was it like talking to a psychiatrist to get them to sign off. What was discussed?
