Great reviews, and I could be wrong, but I believe the term Velcro is a brand name, not a product name, so that is why the term "hook and loop" is used on the first product.

I know I'm very late to the party on this but band aid is the same thing. A brand name for an adhesive bandage. Hook and loop is the design but Velcro is a trademarked brand.

Took me a while to find this review but you should regrade the Ultimate guard Twin flipntray. They fixed a lot of the issues with it, it's slimmer, has the 2 deck trays, and allows you to access either deck and the dice tray solo. The imprinted logo is gone and it has a much sleeker looking branding at the corner.

I bought the twin flip 'n tray for my baby legacy and modern decks; and couldn't be happier. The magnets are strong and I can put ~70 d6 in the dice tray. The second compartment can be slightly frustrating, but it is very worth it!

I didn't browse the comments to see if this was already covered, but you got it right; Velcro© is hook and loop. Similar to Kleenex© is to tissues, they are just the originators of the particularly popular style of their respective products.

I bought a flip-n-tray not even realising what a good quality product it was from my old LGS and I can say a year and a half later it hasn't steered me wrong yet. The material is sturdy and enduring, the magnets are strong and the design is exemplary.

Honestly building decks is much easier than trying to decide what case you buy to them in but this series really helped my avoid some of the bad choices out there. I find this to be great way to inform people on deck boxes, and it's also a great way to get sponsors. I wouldn't blame you Tolorian, more money equals higher budget for videos, making them potentially better. Not saying you have; especially not for Ultra-Pro. All in all, keep up the good work. Hi Professor! I found your channel a few weeks back, and it has been greatly beneficial to me as a new Magic player. Kudos for your amazing videos! You are an inspirational voice to the community, and your passion for Magic and all of its nuances, cards and accessories alike, shines through in all that you do. I applaud your thorough methods and down-to-earth approaches to your reviews and tips videos. I recently obtained a Twin Flip 'n' Tray from Potomac Distribution (currently listed as Ultimate Guard's only U.S. distributor on their website), and I wanted to add my two cents on this deck box. I've found that the second compartment fits an 80 card Ultra Pro deck box quite nicely (although I might add that when I tested this, my Ultra Pro deckbox only had 60 sleeved cards rather than 80, but there was a little bit of wiggle room left in the compartment for a full deck box). I suspect this is what the open compartment might be for and is perhaps the reason why it does not include a second card tray? Seems a bit silly to have a deck box for your deck box rather than a second tray, I agree, but I thought I would mention my findings in case they might be helpful to you or someone looking into this product. :) Again, keep up the great work!

I completely agree with you through most of the video they paid attention to alot of the problems with other companies deckboxes. The dual flip n' tray should have two tray. But your excitment for the monolith tower seemed to create a bias for it. I really do like how the lid creates another compartment but what I really dont like about it visually is the way the two sides fix together. It has very large guides to make sure it stays together but it just doesnt look right. Im also worried about how thin the plastic seems. Id also like to state my favorite part of the satin tower, that satin feel plastic itself.

Can't believe it's been almost a year. This video convinced me to get some Flip n' Trays, and while I was slightly disappointed that the trays didn't actually hold 100 single-sleeved cards, I've loved them. I don't remember you reviewing the Monoliths, but I'll definitely stay on the lookout for one. I recently double-sleeved my Karador deck, and while my Ultra Pro Commander deck box had been holding it just fine, it's been a bit bulky, and the design is now faded. I'm looking for alternatives (and I'll probably get one of those Planechase deck boxes to hold the planar deck that's currently in Karador's box), and the Monolith looks like a strong contender.

i have bought the twin flip and tray from this review. and i love it!! though its true that a single sleeved EDH deck is a tight fit, it is really secure and the quality is superb! and the dice tray is awesome! i use a lot of dice and i fit 6 D20 and about 30 D6 in the tray!

Got my Ultimate Guard Flip 'n Tray in the mail yesterday, and this thing is just fantastic. Only downside I have is that I can barely fit 75 double sleeved with KMC perfect size and Hyper Mattes. I can fit a couple unsleeved tokens in there, but that's it.

Ive been using the updated twin flip and tray and theyve made it much better and alike to the original standard flip and tray, i saw a friend with one and got it right away. Its become a favourite for taking more than one deck to game nights

The Ultimate Guard Twin deck box is incredible. I play Android: Netrunner, which is an asymmetrical LCG that REQUIRES you to make two decks - one Runner deck and one Corp deck - for any sort of play. Having one spacious yet compact deck box for two decks without sacrificing security or burning a hole in your wallet is a recipe for success in my eyes. I can't recommend it enough.

I own one of the Monolith towers. Absolutely wonderful! Paid about $15 CAD, but it's all I'm ever going to need when I'm out at FNM. I only single sleeve so the room I have is wondrous. And the dice compartment is pretty swanky.

For the twin flip and tray, with regards to the compartment without the tray, it's very, very easy to take the cards out if you stand it upright.

The tower looks excellent. I currently use the Ultra Pro Satin Tower and the Ultra Pro - Pro Tower for my double sleeved EDH decks but may need another shortly. I'll keep a look out - hopefully they start carrying these in the US.

BCW Makes a Flip 'N' Tray type case just without the deck tray, called the Deck Locker for about $19. I just got mine in today and I am very impressed with it. Seems to be comparable to the Ultimate Guard from what I can tell from your video

the ultimate guard twin case is not falling appart because of a well thought idea the cards inside arnt resting on the latch itself wich reduces the weight it has to carry but when you try with a smaller deck box such as the Ultra pro deck box then if you try to shake it it will fall apart in NO-TIME Ive had experiences like this

yep they mean velcro. hook and loop or hook and pile (what we call it in the army) is so they don't get sued by velcro which is a trademarked term.

I've been using the Ultimate Guard Flip 'N' Tray for a while, and I absolutely love it. I got it quite early and when I came back off holiday to my more local card-shop, there was a sudden uproar as to why the local shop wasn't holding them in stock. (I holiday at my old Magic locals. Not sad at all.) My only complaint is that after using them for months, the very top corner where the door for the dice tray is has started to peel slightly away from the rest of the unit, however when the tray is sealed, this makes no difference and I'm very sure a quick shot of glue will hold it together again.

Okay. That Ultimate Guard flip 'n tray is /really/ impressive to me. I've been mulling over getting a Legacy-viable deck for some time now, and I wanted to make sure I had a sturdy, impressive box for it... it'd be more something I show off than play with anyways, unless my living situations changes drastically... and that flip 'n tray is gorgeous to me. Exactly what I'd want.
