crypt is def better than sol ring. 1 man in so much more than 0 and the risk of the loss of life isnt even close to outweighing the difference in cost. Granted sol ring is still ridiculously powerful and fits into many decks that crypt doesnt.

Sol Ring since it doesn't give you a color is good. You can tap the opponents lands and destroy it. If they're playing green it's a little more tricky. It's best used in a green deck.

this helped me out a ton, the #10 Caravan. YES!!!! It is dirt cheap to buy, it can be used right away, and becomes a decent sized creature when you only have small creatures in the beginning usually. Fits my criteria for most of my EDH decks. Thanks.

The honorable mention for the color moxes should at least give their score to be able to compare with Sol Ring. The biggest surprise from this list is not to see Basalt Monolith, which was a staple of Type I and Type II back in the 90's together with Mana Vault and Sol Ring

@@genericfakename4372 Sure but i would still argue that, except for 10 and 5 these are all more powerfull. Sure Signets and talismans are extremly effective but mindstone often is just as good with an added utility and all the other ones cost less mana then they actually produce which is BEYONDE powerfull for combo and control, since it accelarates the turn you can combo off or doesn't tap down the mana you need for your instants. signets and talismans often just cannot do that.

Man I can’t believe they still print Sol Ring in the Commander precons every year. Outside of the Power 9, that is the most busted shit ever. Granted, it’s not nearly as good in EDH, but it’s still pretty crazy.

@@ryanoutram7059 The only deck i can think of where you would deliberately not run Sol Ring is a deck that REALLY cares about pips. Maybe some kind of Devotion Tribal deck, but even then you're probably going to need at least some colourless mana. Maybe elves? Most elves cost some variant of G, so spending 1 green on turn 1 to get out a card that may not be useful for 3 or 4 turns because all your spells cost G is pretty meh.

Chrome Mox is as bad as the originals. The card makes it a little worse but as soon as you get this out it boosts your Mana pool by one just like the originals. Somebody can destroy your artifacts and disable Mox Opal. That's a fun card to play with and doesn't break the game.

My luckiest ever EDH hand was a Turn 1 land, tap for Sol Ring, tap for Arcane Signet, tap for Exploration, play second land then to tap for Birds of Paradise. I was the first one to lose because of how big of a target I was.

I disagree with the low placement of mox diamond and it should have been in chrome mox's spot. Remembet that for diamond you just DISCARD a land and not actually exile a spell? Every heard of "Life from the loam"? Mox, mox, loam, land, exploration, another land, go? That is 4+ mana turn 2 in legacy. Now tell that is less busted than chrome. You mentioned dark depths for mox diamond, but you should have mentioned LANDS

He wants an objective way of measuring a card's impact on MtG and it's power level. Competitive tournaments are objective and have readily available data about the best cards. He occasionally does subjective lists, but clearly states so at the beginning of those videos.

I have to have some criteria, and I choose to focus on Magic's competitive history - ProTours and GrandPrixs, where we have much clearer data. I don't have anything against EDH, it is just excluded by my methods. If you watch this video, you will find considerable overlap, though. But, given your extreme reaction, I probably don't want you as a subscriber anyway!

I don't really understand your logic as to why you don't include Lotus Petal. You don't want to include Chormatic Star because you have to sacrifice it. That doesn't make sense on multiple levels. Chromatic Star doesn't even ramp it only filters your mana, whereas Lotus Petal would actually still ramp you. So showing Chromatic Star as your example for why you're not including it makes no sense to me.
