Love these videos. It's really nice to relive the older sets. I wish it was more affordable to get older boxes or that Wizards would do some sort of event with a similar format to pre-release where we could play the sets again.

Nostalgia...was playing torment cards back in 6th grade. Loved the sengir vampire art for this set.

Nice opening. It's amazing to see that these fat packs are still out there. I played with odyssey came out but did not stick through the entire block. I think I was on my way to college during this cycle. Played in several tournaments back during wrath/Ursa/masques/invasions. Got back in during the innistrad block. Kind of wishing I had been able to stick with it during the gap. love for the game never went away. Just time and money.

You do know back then there were no such thing pulling two rares out of one pack.. if the rare was foil.. that would be your only rare...

MTGHeadQuarters Actually, he's right. Time Spiral was the first time you could open a foil rare and a rare in the same pack. Says so in the Tournament deck info sheet.

I remember getting beat up by a lot of basking rootwallas and psychatogs. That lavamancer too, but most of what I saw was black/blue and some form of green aggro. Probably didn't help that I was playing Nefarious Lich. After this block was over I started mainly playing LotR followed by ST:2e when Insurrection came out.

MTGHeadQuarters Jeremy, that'd be awesome if you were able to read the books aloud in a video.. Like a chapter or something per video or whatnot. I'd definitely listen to it while working instead of Pandora over and over. As this wouldn't require me to "watch" anything, I could still get work done and whatnot. It'd be great. If you have any interest, that is.
