MTH Premier N&W GP-9 unboxing

Recently purchased a new MTH Premier GP-9 to add to my collection. It arrived today here is the unboxing video. This newer PS3 MTH diesel is more detailed than earlier PS2 Premier models I have. I really like the "Redbird" Tuscan Red paint scheme. A bit livelier than the standard black N&W livery of the time. Currently working on installing backdrops before laying track so I'm not able to test run this engine. I'll make a running video as soon as I get track laid. I remember back in elementary school, watching the Red locomotive coming by the house, along about the time they cut the Powhatan Arrow off, they re vamped the pocahontas, all blue with dome cars off the Wabash and NKP, we rode the trains and eat in the diners, they had a mixture of silverware some off the WAB and the NKP, towards the end, folks were collecting souvenirs, swiping the silverware. Then in 72, they had a sale in roanoke. If you like you could buy anything China silverware and they sold some passenger cars, but they re worked the locomotives for freight, changed the pinion on the traction motors for a lower gear ratio.

That "I gotta have it" condition is a sickness, I have it too. Great looking engine, I'll be waiting on the running of it video.

Yeah, amazing the mental gymnastics one goes through to justify buying another item for the collection. I've got a handful of items I'm supposed to 'sell' to offset cost of recent acquisitions. Video doesn't do the Tuscan color justice. Thanks for commenting and yeah, I'm ill.
