Spencer is a masterpiece, and this trailer gives you goosebumps. Can’t wait. It’s not important if Jolie or Stewart or Portman look like the ladies they played, as long as they embody their spirit, their soul. I think Kristen did it to perfection. Natalie so so. Let’s see Angelina!

Out of all the films in the trilogy, Maria is the one that is the most visually stunning and the least grounded in reality. There's a lot of dream sequences which could only work for a movie about Maria Callas. As usual, Larrain brings the best out of his muses. Angelina's performance here is both MORE dramatic than Natalie/Jackie & Kristen/Diana, but it is also the most SUBDUED at the same time.

Training for a year might give you the basics to give the illusion that you can do it in a movie, with a body double, just like Natalie Portman did for Black Swan. But if you want to sound like Callas, at that level, Jolie would have needed to train for decades, I’m sure she’s lip-syncing.

Fany Ardant was a proper Callas. Angelina Jolie is herself dress like Callas ,her talking voice and accent is nothing like Callas either. The movie seems to be big bussiness for all participants but no good for Callas herself. All her biographers had a tacit agreement not to talk about her sad last years out of respect and love for her. Now the American ,that never loved or respected her and do this movie . Just listen to any interview of her done in America and you will see the disrespect Callas had to tolerate, they were just interested in Onassis and Jackie not her. I will not wach the movie, I prefer to remember her listening to her music, there is where you will find Marias Calla and her talent.
