That is brilliant story at the end adrian farmers get an awful name when he comes to the bull calf the way the whole family rowed in to look after that bull calf is beautiful we do look after our animals or try to do our best we dont always get it right but we do it for the love of looking after our animals and take pride in what we do thank you adrian and all your hard working family❤️

First of all, I want to say that I hope you get better soon. I also want to say 😄 thank you so much for the close captioning. Even when the wind blows I can still understand you. What a beautiful calf being born. I love seeing that! Thanks for sharing that. I’m pleased but not surprised that that cow you went to see was doing so well. You can tell how much you care about your family, farm, animals, and other people. I really enjoyed this video. It was a mix of everything. Thanks for sharing. Again I hope you feel better soon. Your dead right Adrian safety hitches our neabour nearly lost his life a sheer grab came off a skid steer and landed in the cab on top of him one of the tines went through his leg and trapped him in the cab only for his neabour herd him shouting he would have bleed to death. Saying that it would have done a lot of damage to your tractor. I'm watching quick hitches every day on diggers you can never be two careful it only has to happen once. Keep up the good work I watch your videos all the time 👍

There not a reliable thing at all Patrick, shear coming of a skid steer would be a very serious thing. A lot of people mention hydraulic locking supposedly a better option
@patrickjordan7670
@patrickjordan7670 Жыл бұрын
@IFarm WeFarm hydraulic hitches is the way to go the modern hitches have a double locking system and a check valve for safety incase a pipe bust we still have one hydraulic hitche where you have to manually put in a safety pin we've often hade a machine stoped by safety officer for no safety pin in that was on m3 motorway we still have the machine we use it for our own private jobs the new fails safe hitches cost e2000 new machines now come with fail safe hitches as standard and cameras all round and motion buzzers.im sure tractor loaders come with fail safe hitches. I'm very safety conscious never had an accident in 45 years on diggers like yourself you keep an eye on everything we have men all round us all the time and your job is even worse your on your own most of the time. Safety is very important👍

Very few farmers would have Adrian's mechanical mind and then the training he did between finishing school and taking over the farm. How much would it cost to get someone to do what he made look like a simple repair of the loader - plus sure you'd lose a half day, what with travel, etc or do they call around and which would be more expensive? How many hours a year do you spend on such tasks Adrian, hence how much would you have to pay if you couldn't do them yourself, and that is assuming you can still get people to do such jobs - don't know if anyone could do them as good, certainly not better. We are also well into the era where parts are replaced as opposed to repaired, i.e. throw-away! Such costs would further escalate with hired in operators as opposed to owner operated. Ok for bigger farmers who might trade-in stuff at the first sign of wear. I suppose the moral of the story is that a farmer must be a jack of all trades, and Adrian a master of 'em too! Where does he get the energy and patience, and him chocked with a 3rd flu?
@IFarmWeFarm
@IFarmWeFarm Жыл бұрын
I was kinda brought up to fix rather than replace, we didn’t have the money to do so either so you had to learn the hard way by making do. I could always pick up things fairly easily I guess, it’s also very satisfying to fix things like that when it goes to plan. My Mechanical knowledge comes from making plenty of mistakes only once 🤣 but yes it’s a natural love that I seemed to come built into me. Thanks lad 👍
