Today we are exploring a new location which has us quite excited! A new stream with lots of possibilities! We found something that we really did not expect! Come with us to this beautiful new place and see what we found.
We have a patreon page for anyone wishing to support us.
We also have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

That 18th century pipe bowl is incredible,and has it retained its black color! The Thames ones don’t,of course,but I was wondering if streamfound ones lighten up. I hope not,I love that dark color!!

So interesting. Thank you for that tid bit of info.I d never seen or heard of horsetails before..very cool ! Indians were ingenious by knowing how to use all kinds of plants and trees. Recently my husband and I were blessed by a park employee (USA) who has Cherokee background , who gave us a tree tour complete with some of the things they were used for. I d been interested in the Cherokee most of my life. And now that my husband is retired we have been studying them and have gone to 3 southern states Cherokee places. (Unfortunately most of them were WRONGFULLY forced on the TRAIL of TEARS from these states to Oklahoma!!) They were unjustly treated , lied to and stolen from over and over and over again) As a very young girl I was taken to an interactive Cherokee village and super impressed and glad that that area of Cherokees escaped the Trail of Tears..may it EVER be so!!

I grew up there. It has some really cool landmarks. The local church was amazing when I used to go there at primary school, I just stared at the stain glass windows and ceilings. I don't think I ever hear a word from the vicar 😅 it is a really popular tourist destination and is a shame they can't tell you more about it. I live a few miles away but still go back often, and regret leaving!

It must be the archaeologist in me. When I see Kate and Flo’s finds I think context and start asking who, what, when and why. There is so much more to the story.
@grannyweatherwax9666
@grannyweatherwax9666 Жыл бұрын
@@leeklassy1012 it's a very old town, the thing I find sad is the limited amount of children's toys there. It is very rural so there was no money for such things. It's not listed on the council dump sites but I've found bottles and cups with the towns name on them. The whole length of that stream has been used as a dump and there is a fishing lake further up stream that is relatively new. It hasn't had many archeology studies there, which is odd as it's got many fields around it that are ripe for digging! As you can tell I absolutely love the place!

That was a lovely place to go even if you weren't looking for anything other than to be outdoors. So many beautiful flowers, trees, and other plants. Still, it'll be interesting to see what the foliage was hiding. I look forward to that video. Thanks for sharing the nature scenes. Here in NZ we have had almost continual rain since February. We also had no summer this year to speak of, very unusual. Just storms and rain. As we rush towards midwinters eve, I can’t wait for better weather. Seeing the lovely weather where you are is so pleasant, makes my heart glad, it really does. Thank you for another gorgeous video. I got twangs of anxiety at the barbed wire, but you were obviously fine. Delighted at your finds, it’s almost as if I find them myself. Pleases my other half, as I don’t have to store them! The dog head was precious- you could fix that, no problem, milliput? 😊❤❤❤

Gosh Oscar has changed in the time since seeing him last. Time stands still for no one. 😊 This new place your larking looks very promising for interesting finds. Such a shame that a pretty natural wild area with running stream, so pretty at first glance, is littered so, with rubbish. (Treasure to some i know) Anyway, good luck on your larks there. The things you found were well worth going for. Loved that broken round bottomed glass jug. I'd love to see how you fix that. Awe and the little pipe was a nice surprie. I too like marmalade, but I'm not keen on the texture of any large chunks of peel in mine. It makes my teeth go on edge somehow. 🤪😅 I'm with you there Fleur. It was a very interesting sherd story, on how Marmalade developed. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes up next week. Xx

It is interesting how your plants and birds have some of the same names as ours in the USA, but don't look the same. You are lucky to have water in that stream. We are having a drought here. I can't find orange marmalade that was made with real sugar anymore. I may have to learn how to make my own. I love ginger marmalade; however, it is very hard to find in the U.S.A. I need a good recipe so I can make my own. The dog looks a little like the ne in the old ads for Buster Brown children's socks.
