I wish someone would explain the dynamics of mudras, how exactly do they address specific problems. Like, how does this one have a favorable effect on teeth?

All the nerve endings from the internal organs are in the fingertips (also on the ears, feet and top of the head). So when you press the nerve endings of certain organs, you stimulate them and increase blood flow, oxygen etc... that's the simplest explanation :)

@@anelatrampus6947 Thanks Andela, I was wondering the same.

Further to what Andela wrote, the thumb plays an important role. Each finger stands for a certain natural element, the thumb representing ‘fire’ element. Hence the element corresponding to the finger tip that the thumb touches in the mudra gets activated in the body. On the converse, certain thumb positions suppress the corresponding element. Which element to suppress and which to activate depends on the specific ailment. And hence the mudra got designed for specific ailments. (The five elements are fire, air, space, earth, and water in sequence from the thumb to the little finger).

A wonderful good morning Anand Roongta, thank you so much for your response and your wonderful question. According to the designer of these mudras that I have shown throughout all of my "mudra monday video series", the best result is achieved when you focus on doing one mudra at a time and do this for at least one week. In this case, for this particular mudra, I can say YES to all three options (smile). First of all, the minimum break between the 3 times of this mudra is 5 minutes, that means that the break can be longer than 5 minutes. So yes, it can be split (so for example: you could do the first time in the morning, the 2nd time around lunch time and the third time after dinner or before you go to sleep) And if you would love to do the whole session (3 times) after dinner, that's okay too. It's important to look at how you can best integrate the practice of all of the mudras into your personal, daily life. That's different for every individual. So be creative in "experimenting" in what feels best for you. The practice of mudras is also becoming aware of how energy is behaving and moving through your body-mind-spirit. It's not a "quick fix thing", although you could experience instant relief from whatever is bothering you, while you are practicing mudras. It's about taking full responsibility of your health and wellbeing and giving yourself permission to be patient in your practice. I recently made a video about who inspired me to make these mudra videos in the first place. You are welcome to watch that one right here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqnFgXyGeMmggtE Anand, I sincerely hope that I answered your question satisfactorily and that this video serve you well. Love and blessings from the Netherlands.

Good afternoon dear Maheen Angel, Click on this link for healthy hair (mudra) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3bFhXl9l9-Wjpo I am going to give you a (long) answer concerning "grey hair": You see, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese 5 elements philosophy, the condition of our hair is controlled by our Water Element, which is associated with our Kidney and Bladder meridians. When these two meridians / energy channels are out of balance, it could show up as symptoms like you described. However in case of grey hair, to tell you the truth, during my years of study to become a certified Shiatsu Massage Therapist, we (the students) never had the experience of having to treat grey hair. What I can say, is that "hair issues" are mostly stress related....the emotions that are controlled by our Water Element are fear and anxiety. You could ask yourself: "what areas of my current life cause me to feel very unsettled, stressed and anxious about on a regular basis? and "how long have I been feeling this way"? Fear, when "nurtured" for a long time will have a negative impact on our adrenal system as well. According to Louise Hay (author of the book "you can heal your life"), grey hair could be a symptom of a belief in pressure and tension...in other words, that a person believes that life is really hard and that life is happening to that person, believing he or she is not powerful and always has to ask others for permission first, before doing anything. Someone who does not believe in his / her own inner strength and power and sees him or herself as the victim of circumstances. This could really be going on a subconscious level...meaning the person is not even aware of this. So, if that is the case, Louise Hay has a more empowering affirmation that you can use (consistently, until every fibre of your being believes this to be true for you) to change this "paradigm / limiting belief".....: "I feel peaceful and at ease in every area of my life. I am strong and capable of living my life on my own terms". I also found these next 2 resources that could help you further on your journey to heal your grey hair. Just click on this link: spirithealers.blogspot.nl/2013/09/how-to-avoid-gray-hair-using-energy.html and this link: www.brucelipton.com/books/biology-of-belief Keep doing the above mudra as well, for this will help you balance the energy of your Water Element, that has a positive effect on the condition of your hair. Click on this link for uplifting your mood (depression): kzbin.info/www/bejne/roC3l3qNqJmXrq8 This is an acupressure / acupuncture point. I sincerely hope this answers your request / question. Love and blessings from the Netherlands.
