Look at what Ibn Taymiyyah said. Isn't it blatant hypocrisy? Isn't it laughable? “Hijab is only for free women, not slave women, as was the practice of the believers at the time of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his successors (the caliphs). Free women observed hijab and slave women did not. If ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a slave woman covering her head, he would hit her and say: Are you trying to imitate free women, O foolish one? So slave women would uncover their heads, hands and faces.” (Majmu‘ al-Fatawa,15/372)

Graded sahih by al-Albani and by Sa’d al Shathri) Narrated Anas ibn Malik: “The female slaves of Umar were serving us with uncovered hair that was hitting their breasts.”. (Sunan al-Bayhaqi, 3222. Classed sahih by al-Bayhaqi and hasan by al-Albani) (PS: To be honest, I don't think there is such a thing called truly "authentic hadith" in the historical sense. But this is what many Hadith scholars & jurists believe and have recorded.)

I had a thought though, there is a Hadith of women in battles were their shins and ankles were visible. And some scholars say women can show arms due to work and necessity. I wondering if it is similar due to making things easy for Muslim women as well. But no one really knows those rare opinions or Hadiths

Unrelated to this topic, but if you ever get a chance, please do read " نبوة محمد التاريخ والصناعة " by محمد محمود - it's an amazing book and I've been travelling across the Arabic world to get it and, in the end, found it at Al Saqi bookstore in London. Though it needs to be stressed that this is not a book you read once and you're done with it. You actually gotta study it, but, in the end, it brings a great philosophical understanding and even greater questions.

@@abaseenmomand9619 Unfortunately, even finding that bookshop in London took me like 2yrs in and the owner himself told me that it's been banned across Arabic world since the it undermines the Saudi ideology, as the author applies Christian and Jewish philosophy to Islam. To be fair, I myself struggled throughout the book. So, no. I only have a hardcopy, although there's a chance someone has already taken pictures of it and posted it somewhere.
