The concert was done in honour of Narges Mohammadi, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate who is currently in prison in Iran for her fight for human rights. Her twin daughter and son were present, as they received the prize in their mother's name. If you think of Angelina's and Kork's performance in this perspective, the song and arrangement takes a deeper meaning, that of someone who longs to be reunited with her loved ones and wishes to be home soon ♥ And although one always expects Angelina to be outstanding, in this performance she outdid herself. At some point her voice and manerisms felt like a prayer.

Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness, is what Angelina always reminds us to do. We angels, need to honor Angelina by doing what we can to be kind to others. The smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.

The video starts by saying that Angelina is there to honor a cause. I know the performance is overwhelming, but people should at least be curious to learn what that cause is. So read the comments. Thankfully, many of Angelina's fans think it is important to explain the context and significance of this event and do a wonderful job informing those who don't know Narges Mohammadi's story.

She has performed this many times since she was 8. I heard her live last year, which was slowed down and incredible. This was REVERANT, most would have blasted this. In a way it reminds me of her performance of "Natural Woman". She is so fully empathetic. This was very personal for Angelina. Narges' children were in the audience. Angelina's grandma, as you may know is Iranian. If you don't know, Narges is currently imprisoned for speaking on women's,/human rights in Iran. Doing 32 years, 154 lashes. The original song was written for a 1955 movie about a man imprisoned, LONGING for his love ones. So now you see the deep connection with Angelina, why her performance was peace driven and not boisterous.

Putting aside that most people feel Bobby Hadfield's rendition is 'The Gold Standard' for the song, this rendition by Angelina permeates my inner being with more emotion laden penetration than Bobby's did. I believe if he is able to hear it in the 'far beyond', it will bring a tear to his eye as it did to me. It is a perfect tribute to Narges Mohammadi as a courageous woman who definitely deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Hopefully, this spectacular performance will help to shed light on the plight of this woman who is languishing in an Iranian prison for no good reason whatsoever.

I've always loved Bobby's song and it forever holds a place in my heart BUT this rendition is more emotional, more soulful and just a totally new spin on the song! I listen to this one 2-3 times a day. I hope Narges Mohammadi gets to hear this somehow. If not, at least her children did. Let Narges go!

Ariana is excellent BUT Angelina is so different. There are many great young artists out there but NONE sound like Angelina! Both of these young ladies are amazing but Angelina sets the bar without overdoing her vocals. This song, Unchained Melody, was sung with such yearning, soulful and emotionally without the need for screaming at the top of her lungs. So respectful to Bobby's song.
