“A show that starts on the premise that he’s a neglectful father doesn’t make sense.” GOD, THANK YOU! Yes, being Hokage was a major motivation for him, but it wasn’t just to be strong or anything. Naruto wanted to be hokage because he was fucking lonely and people would have to acknowledge him in that position. It was a sad, lonely, and not super socially skilled kid’s way to make as many connections with other people as he possibly could. Naruto, as presented throughout everything pre-Boruto would have rather died than wind up as the sort of person who picks work over his relationship with other people, especially his own family. Naruto should be the most caring, devoted father ever and to depict him as a neglectful workaholic is nothing short of character assassination. Fuck whoever decided that made any degree of sense.

The character growth coming from Boruto learning about Naruto's childhood and realising why Naruto's like that, and Naruto recognising that Boruto isn't comfortable with that level of intense affection and trying to tone it down a touch for him.

Like you said, nobody but pretty much the people you mentioned can COME AFTER Itachi and expect a chance at winning. It's just not happening. #2 Even part 1 Itachi is obviously WAY weaker than edo Itachi which imo is the best example we have for an Itachi who isn't so sick he's literally dying. MS Sasuke was 100% above Danzo in stats, but without Obito's interference, Sasuke mightve died, and Unlike Itachi, I REALLY don't think Kirin would've put Sasuke with Susanoo in the state it put Itachi in. I just don't see it happening. Imo Kage Summit Sasuke is stronger (definitely not smarter and would actually possibly still lose to sick Itachi if he was trying to kill him) than sick Itachi. Finally #3 there's a big difference in going after someone and defending yourself from attackers/pursuers. I do not see Itachi pulling off an Orochimaru level invasion of the leaf by himself and if the entire foundation jumps him along with Danzo's hax. I don't see Itachi winning at all. Especially if Danzo has the element of surprise in regards to his Izanagi arm. Ofc if he doesn't Itachi might be able to fall back on Izanami, but I definitely don't think it's as simple as Itachi doing what he wants despite definitely being above Danzo in almost every department.

He has enough power to take on the full arm with his ms abilities or susanno. Maybe izanagi, but I feel unlike sasuke, he would have a better plan than to try and brute force him. Am If he really has to, he can use shisui's other eye game over. There's also kisame who I'm sure wouldn't mind helping Itachi. He could even justify to the akatsuki and say it's to weaken the leaf/capture the 9 tails. So it's totally possible as long as he doesn't just run in blind

That was his strategy against orochimaru as well (it wasn't tsukuyomi just a normal Genjutsu but the strategy is the same) The only problem is the root members cause they are strong and he doesn't have obito to deal with them like sasuke did but yeah with an ambush he can do it, cause we have to remember itachi's goal isn't to destroy konoha like orochimaru or pain, it's just to get rid of danzo then dip he is not gonna attack the damn 5 kage summit like an idiot (looking at sasuke)

Unironically, Kakashi created chidori by trying to add lightning release to the rasengan and it caused it to collapse. So yeah, that one technique he created was created because he was trying to put his own little spin on a jujutsu that he stole from someone else.
