Come on Irish: rediscover your faith after the disastrous referendums of 2015 and 2018. Read G.K. Chesterton, a great lover of Ireland and defender of faith, family and freedom. "The test could best be made by the introduction of some of the new abnormal laws already threatening the world in the name of science. Suppose something of the type of Compulsory Sterilisation or Compulsory Contraception really stalks through the modern State, leading the march of human progress through abortion to infanticide. If the heathens in North Germany received it, they would accept it with howls of barbaric joy, as one of the sacred commands of the Race Religion; the proceedings very probably terminating (by that time) with a little human sacrifice. If the English received it, they would accept it as law-abiding citizens; that is, as something between well-trained servants and bewildered children. There is a great difference; but not so great as the certainty that the Irish would not accept it at all." (G.K. Chesterton, The well and the shallows). All humanity needs a resurrection of Ireland. Perhaps it has already begun: referendum 2024 and protests against the invasion of illegal immigrants. God help us.

A brilliant song her voice is very intoxicating up there with the Clancy brothers version, why do Irish people have music instilled within their DNA? I find this truly remarkable. A truly incredible country on many fronts that the world could learn from, Btw, I from Yorkshire.

Brings tears to my eyes. If push came to shove, I wonder how many of those that make up the non -english speaking multi-cultural Ireland would fight and die as these these men did. Not many I would imagine.
@corneliuscapitalinus8452 жыл бұрын
Theres a big problem in Celtic "Nationalist" spheres wherein the antiEnglish sentiments are directed toward outcompeting England on the multicult front, and all that tends to be part of that whole rotten orbit. Seems to follow a truly & remarkably dumb notion that because england was colonial, and therefore "racist", the best way to stick it to the Poms is to prove how comparatively the Celts aren't like that. Ofc what comes with the whole package is degredation of host countries culture, and especially seeing as, irrespective of whatever inter-tribe issues we have between us, we are all seen as Europeans. In the colonial countries its that way, in the Isles its that way, in Europe its that way, in the USA its that way, in SAfrica it's that way, and there was already alot of that in Latin America. I hope Celtic Folk see the folly of this sentiment soon.
