Yeah. I wish regular "lock washers" would go extinct since they don't actually work. Still though... There's no substitute for a properly designed bolted joint. Whenever I see a lock washer of any kind, my first thought is bad engineering. However, seeing a Nordlock... It gives me more confidence.

For the younger guys and little more green guys. Take a look around his shop while there panning. Neat, working clean, organized. If you ever look for a shop near you these are good Indicators they may have something. Keep eye out for Customer cars and shop cars also. Been in this a long time take it for what it’s worth. @Kevin Anthony, there's a place for everything and everything is in it's place! and once you've finished one small part of a project, tidy up, clean up, sweep up, tools away even if you know that you're going to need the tool in the next 20 minutes for the next part of the project, I've seen it that I've been called away and come back the next day and that tool that I need isn't where it lives, I know that I used it yesterday and I can't find it, I know that I put it somewhere safe but where? Then I spend 45 minutes searching for the tool and turning the workshop upside down! It's a waste of time and effort and gets me angry! I prefer to spend the time and effort keeping my workspace clean and tidy. My pet hate is when someone borrows one of my tools and forgets to return it or returns it broken and they didn't tell me that they have broken it! Tools aren't cheap but time effort and calmness in the workshop is very expensive! I've walked into workshops where all you can hear is hammer on steel and the place is a complete mess, not where I would take my vehicle!

One of .my cars is currently at the fabricator for some much needed upgrades. After I dropped the car off and talked to the owner about what needs done, I went home and straightened out my garage because I realized that compared to how orderly neat and clean his shop is, I'm a downright slob.

Mullet with a jet was a suicide machine worthy of a darwin award if it was completed as per the stated plan. That engine mount and angle are life or death critical. It HAS to point down about -1 degree. The v8 in the front would lift the front wheels to positive angles, ie it would take off the first time the jet was used with the v8. Dumping that idea was the smartest thing he did and its going to be alot safer.
