Good stuff, I've watched a few of your videos. I'm 65 and my story is similar on a smaller scale as I was worth a few million, and I was a very generous contractor for many years. I never burned anyone but when the money ran out so did all the so called friends. Money doesn't buy happiness but it does bring complexity and stress. I too built a custom home (overlooking Las Vegas) with the country club lifestyle and a paid by cash brand new limousine (with a driver on call) sitting in the circle driveway under the porte-cochere. I now live a humble, healthy lifestyle . I am appreciative for the experiences and the learning curve that money did buy including the arm trophy. I still have the same cell phone number for 20 years but it really doesn't ring much because I don't "take care" of the so called friends anymore. I can share a lot of true life stories :)

Sorry bout that! But we sat down to shoot more of a conversation, and less of an interview. We’re learning as we go, for sure! It only gets better from here.

In 1994 he didn't become a millionaire...he shared a net worth of $1 million with his wife...so if they were individually not millionaires. Still amazing achievement and respect for the hard work he put in since that was a decent net worth then.

You need to know when to call it. That's the key from my similar life story.

If you are interested in entering an industry that you want to make a career in, you enter in at an entry level position, learning how to give great customer service, how to host people, how to clean up after people, how to take care of people, how to take orders without having to be repeatedly told. You learn that, then if you are good in doing that, you try to learn the administrative side in operating the business, then you can work your way up to owning your own business to become successful, as long as you run it well. I have much respect for people who do this than the people who enter industries just because it's a job to make money from, because when you're a POS employee who has no goals, or any real goals in life but demand to make 6 figures on a job that's only worth $10-$15 an hour, you don't provide anything real, you're just there to work a job. Most of this is about mentality and mindset. And in this economy, restaurants are still taking a big hit

Somehow or another, I happened to see your recent videos. I didn't realize that you were heavy earlier. To me, I'm not much affected by the alcohol, but the weight is an issue. You appear to be in great shape now. Interesting.

Comment.........No doubt.....the more you have the more complicated your life is.
@colemant6845Ай бұрын
What I find interesting is that several of the comments from people with $3-5MM Net Worth choose to live in Mansions/Big boats/Multi Homes etc. etc. and "Country Club Lifestyle". $3-5MM today in USA is comfortable... but hardly "Rich". With $2.5MM at retirement (58) I kept my comfortable Midwest house and waterfront FL condo (to get out of winter cold) and Travel the World whenever we feel like it. 3 cars that I keep for at least 8 years... NO Stress... of EVER running out of money if we live to 100. I don't get why someone would live "Financially Reckless" when they don't have to. JMHO
