I love Blender...
It's been a very important part of my career in the past 5 years, taking over from Maya and Modo in a big way. I recently used it to model and texture a sea creature for a TV show. Yes, really! I did do the fluid simulation in Houdini, but I did all of the rendering in Cycles. Blender for the win!
When I was doing the sea creature, I had some textures that I needed to place specifically on the face, but I also had other maps that were following the main UVs. I was going to bake out all the textures to 8k maps in the end, but I still needed to get a separate UV layout to make those final maps.
This is, of course, not very hard to do in Blender and within 20 minutes you'll know how.
Hope you like the tutorial and I'll see you in the next one!
