Multitrack Recording on Tyros 5 Keyboard

Here are the steps you will see me take to make a multitrack recording on my Yamaha Tyros 5 keyboard.
In the Audio/Recorder Player section just to the left of the Tyros screen…..
1. Press Mode button in the Audio record/player section
2. Presss REC then Play button to start audio recording as you play the keyboard
3. Press the STOP button to stop the recording.
4. On screen: Press the Multitrack button ( “F”) to convert recording into a multitrack audio
5.On screen: On next screen select the “YES” button ( “F”)
6. On screen: On the Track Select button tab over to the right (F button) to select “Sub”
In the Audio/Recorder Player section just to the left of the Tyros screen…..
7. Hit the REC and the PLAY button to record your second track.
8.On screen: Press the MIXDOWN button (J) to mix the two tracks into a single audio track.

hi Morrie, thanks for some of the best tyros 5 instructions on the internet, they are great, i would like to give you a challenge. iI have been trying to find out how to get a way to set up my tyros 5 for the song el andaluz that is on u tube played by Siegfried Schlag. he has the best setup i have heard, but no one can tell me how to set up my tyros to play like he does, you would be my hero if you could show us how to do it. thank you and keep up the great work, you are the best. Absolutely awesome. Two things sir can one adjust volume on mixdown of individual tracs ? As say maybe choir was to loud ?? And did I here you say it records voice from mic input as well ?? And puts it in the mix. Again thank you.

yes you can adjust the track columns during playback....page 78 on owner manual... "Adjusting the volume balance "On the TRACK PLAY meter, you can adjust the volume of Main and Sub tracks separately." Yes, I can record my singing into a mic plugged into my Tyros.

Hi Morrie, can you please advise me on this problem, my Tyros 5 is second hand and following your video I pressed the Mode button and a message popped up saying, ,, Hard disc drive is not connected or the connected drive cannot be used with this instrument. I have had this keyboard a few years now but never tried recording. Regards John

Hi Morrie. Can you help. After I lay down the first track, then add Piano then Choir. if I make a mistake on Choir and press delete track it deletes Both the PIANO and CHOIR. Help please.

Hi Andy. I'm wondering if you can do a COPY of your first recording .. and then multitrack on the COPY. Then if it all goes pear shaped you can go back to your original recording. In fact, SAVE each layer before going on to the next. Just a suggestion .. I have a Tyros 4, not a Tyros 5. Hugh

I can move the final audio recording onto a USB thumb drive, then transfer it into my iPhone, and play it on my Toyota car radio, or send it up to KZbin.

Hi. When you have done the boys choir, and you say now my screen shows mixdown ?? Well mine doesn't? And you didn't say what you press to get that screen. But you do press something slightly off cam. Could you explain please thanks
