This is 100% the best burger in the world. No other burger comes close to this flavor combination of dill pickle mayo, shredded lettuce, burger patty, sweet onion jam and melted sharp Monterrey jack cheese. The creamy mayo balances out the sour pickles. The sweet onion jam balances out the fatty burger. This tastes similar to french onion soup but sweeter. The sharp cheese balances out everything overall. Then you have some texture with the lettuce. It is just perfect with no unnecessary or gimmicky ingredients.

So, I made the onion-bacon jam in this recipe and there is alot it doesn't tell you. 1.) It makes a bunch. Be prepared to store some 2.) When it's stored the fat congeals, heat it up before adding to your burger. 3.) It's good on more than just burgers, like eggs, toast, roast beef etc. 4.) Use the slab bacon, a regular pound of bacon works but it's wayy to fatty compared to the better selection of meat. To describe the taste, it's like a tangy sweet and lightly salty treat. It really pops out in every bite. But it's GOOD. I don't think I need to say how much fat is in it, after all it's a pound of Bacon and 4 sticks of butter. That's my insight to anyone wanting to try it out. Hope it helps.

A word of advice for anyone making this jam: when you're caramelizing the onions for an hour and a half, you only have to stir after every 30 minutes. Then when you add the red wine vinegar, gradually crank the heat up to medium, then medium-high. Boil the liquid down as much as possible, stirring every 2 minutes until the jam starts to get the same color as matty's and starts to thicken when it bubbles. Then stir the living jesus out of it on medium high until it look identical to the jam here. The butter and fat will separate when you transfer it and/or turn the heat down to low, but don't worry it'll come back together when heated up on medium low/medium heat. Happy cooking! :D

@Merloc9093 жыл бұрын
@@yourmother3207 And cholesterol is not what causes the clogging my friend. Cholesterol is your body fighting inflamation in your arteries. Its the triglycerides part of your lipid profile which causes the clogging. And guess what triglycerides are?? Its the fat you store in your body. Which by the way is not the fat you eat but the excess glucose that your body stores as fat. (its a survivial thing)
@yourmother32073 жыл бұрын
@@Merloc909 bruh all I know is i used to eat a shitton of pizza, wings, fatty meats, and dairy fat and have slightly high cholesterol for my age so I'm deeming it smart to avoid butter and shit. Plus w family history of heart issues. And I have super low body fat too so idk what the issue is
@Merloc9093 жыл бұрын
@@yourmother3207 Well, being careful is always a good idea, however you need to make the right moves for it to pan out. Heart problems affect people irrespective of body size. If you research enough, you will realise even people wth low body fat get heart issues, usually stemming from insulin resistance/sensitivity related problems. Eating red meat, fatty meat, dairy fat etc is not going to cause problems. However, if your body does not handle / respond well (read it as not producing insulin - too much or too little - as per requirements) to glucose in your blood stream, that is usually the starting point of all problems. That comes from carbs. So if you have elevated cholesterol, then its a sign of inflamation in your body. You need to keep an eye on your Triglycerides as well. If they are low and your good cholesterol is high enough then its not worrisome. Instead, you should then focus on your sugar (glucose) levels. Fasting blood sugar, Postprandial blood sugar, random blood sugar & especially HbA1c. If the numbers here are out of whack, then you need to focus your entire attention here.
