He has quite a strong PR presence in SC having won some really high profile cases. The Harpootlian name is very popular for winning. He’s a “bulldog” or “pit bull” as they call them around here. He probably knows all the ways the SC attorneys work to cheat the system. Familiar with the local lawyers MO. They, the lawyers hold their info close here on the dl. “Around here” is 25 miles from my home. Sadly this state is a good old boys network. They know a lot of our population is working poor. Our population is also without an adequate working knowledge of how insurance law works so the lawyers are quick to take cases, knowing the injured education level when they can because that’s how grandpa and great grandpa and uncles and cousins have done it. They also keep the children of the professionals separated from the working poor at the schools they choose. They professionals send their kids to public and the professional or business owners use private schools started in 1964. 😢So prejudice around here.😢 Who knew you could sue for that much money? Another sad result of AM’s Mo is that they are so litigious around here that few to none industries are willing to come bring good paying technical jobs here. Just so sad.

Paul and Buster each got a blackout rifle for Christmas one year and one night while Paul was at a party with friends his who are also Mallory beach's friends and the rifle was stolen from Paul's truck at that party. Now fast forward to the murders of Paul and Maggie I believe 2 people were waiting and watching in the tree line behind the kennels to execute Paul in retaliation for what happened to Mallory and one of the gunmen is the one who stole the other blackout rifle from Paul's truck and that's why the ballistics didn't match up because Paul was shot with his stolen black out rifle. Honestly the more horrible the case, sometimes, the more a moment of humor is needed. Never at the victim's expense - most often at a lawyer's, or at something a witness has said that is genuinely relatable or humorous (again, never at the victim's expense in my own experience). There are often fond, loving, humorous stories that honor the deceased, told by witnesses or people at memorial services, etc. This is such a horrifying thing for any ordinary person to hear about and view photos of that any socially acceptable reason to laugh/release tension is grasped at like a life preserver.

OH, MY. GOODNESS! This defense attorney is absolutely determined to ignore everything this expert is saying. He will not take her word for the 3 feet distance. He kept saying 3 to 4 feet. He also kept insisting on using illustrations from a contact wound. I am frustrated, so I can't imagine the degree of frustration this doctor must be feeling. I would HATE to have to work with man, or be around him. I don't understand why the prosecutor is not objecting that the witness is being badgered. Nor do I understand why there is no objection that questions have been asked and answered. It means a lot. Alex is taller than the son….or someone else, so he throwing in the possibility that someone of a different stature, or possibly the sone himself, could have shot that gun. Basically if you are not positive the prosecution is correct and there could possibly be someone else do the shooting he could be found innocent. I’m born and raised Deep South. I see all the comments inferring him using his “awww…shucks…I’m a dummy” as a way to question… but it’s actually a possibility he’s throwing doubt into this jury through this line of questioning. This is quite annondated answer but essentially he’s actually casting doubt here. Btw, I think AM is guilty imo.

Going by her decades of doing this, court witness, year in year out, I would expect it would take a far greater attorney than him to rattle her, quite the reverse in fact. Watching her facial expressions ( and those of many of the public and prosecution team ) is a picture, as he bumbles and fumbles for paperwork, has to keep apologising to the judge, constantly repeats questions he has been given answers to, jumps from one thing to another, forgets where he is up to, rather than following logical steps. You can see the stark contrast between her concise, to the point, professional conduct and his, and often others of the defence teams ineptitude. In a similar conversation, say between you and I, one of us would be saying something like .........." What the ( enter your own word here 😉) are you talking about " ..............🤔😂😅

That poor young man was probably just standing there, looking at his phone, maybe about to text his friend back when he was senselessly murdered. After he was shot, he turned to look at who did this, took a few steps, then was shot again. It makes me so incredibly sad and angry that people do this to others, especially to a young person, so full of life, with so much more to go. He may have gone to jail for 10 years because of the boat death, but he could have had like 50 years after that.
