But before she is fully confirmed to be redeemed, we need to know if Emerald fully realizes that Cinder has been using her for her own personal goals and that she only cares about herself and see how Emerald confronts Cinder. But I see 2 paths that Emerald can take, that is join Ruby and the gang, or not join them and forge her own path. But the latter may be unlikely because Salem knows Emerald switched sides and could go after her, so Emerald might stay with Team RWBY and JNR to keep safe away from Salem. @NickBrennen Both could be the case. Think of early Salem, like Vol. 6 Beginning Chp. 3. All she wanted was to leave her tower and see the world. Once she finally got the chance to see it, she fell in love with Ozma. As soon as Ozma came and took her away from her lonliness, he died and left her alone. By pleading with the gods to bring him back, she was cursed with immortality. A lesson for turning against the gods. But what did she do in response? She turned the world against the gods and got them all killed, leaving her completly alone after having fallen through the world. This new story of “The Young Girl’s Consequence” shows how Salem didn’t learn from challenging the Gods and instead, rallies those around her to the same failure she had already met. All the consequences that Mankind had to suffer were because of her mistakes, and she will live with that forever In the failure of her uprising against the gods, she created the fairy tale of “The Girl Who Fell Through The World”. After experiencing the love of Ozma and all that the world had to offer, she was an entirely new person with nothing left to show except her Lonliness. She fufilled her wish of falling through the world, only to find lonliness at the end. This is all just how it seems to fit together to me, i’d love to hear what anyone has to think how these stories could go together!!

It wasn't over the top or anything, it was just a tired resignation that their mother might now be running around as a puppet for Salem. I kind of doubt it though. @@wildestnothing927 Pretty sure Remnant has follows the There Are No Therapists trope, explained in detail here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThereAreNoTherapists If there were therapists on Remnant, I can imagine Ironwood wouldn't have fallen as he did, nor would a lot of people. This episode made me tear up TWICE. The Renora talk has so many AMAZING messages that are NOT explored enough in media, especially how harmful the “I don’t know who I am without you” mentality is. It’s glorified when it shouldn’t be, and it’s amazing to see CRWBY tackle it. The talk w Yang and Ruby was SO FREAKING EMOTIONAL OH MY GODDD. ALSO EMERALD SWEARING LIKE A SAILOR IS EVERYTHING I NEEDED Watching Ruby crack was so satisfying. I honestly can’t quite put into words how much I loved this episode. Hands down my favorite in the whole series. Edit: ALSO we finally get more of the mom side of Yang! This is the first interaction (IMO) where you can REALLY tell Yang has had sort of a mother role to Ruby. It was stated before, but never really shown in my opinion, so seeing this was freaking FANTASTIC and I’m SO PROUD of CRWBY for that!

I don't think he was going to shoot marrow in the back, his hand was raised. It looked like he was aiming for the head. He would have litterally "put down" the dog faunus for showing disobedience to "his owner."
@RexusprimeIX3 жыл бұрын
Shooting someone in the back is a metaphor for killing someone without honor. It doesn't mean to literally shoot someone's back. ironwood could have shot his side and it still would count as shooting him in the back. Basically killing someone cowardly, not looking into their eyes is what it means to shoot someone in the back. You're correct, he was aiming at his head. But he was gonna "shot him in the back".

A personal theory I have is that this series will cover the 4 years that everyone was supposed to be in Beacon, meaning we could still have 2 in-universe years before it's over. The final battleground will be Vale/Beacon with the academy itself effectively turned into a Grimm den where Salem plans to end it all. And there will be moments were we return to the iconic locations in disrepair 3-4 years after the fact, like Team RWBY's room, the cafeteria, the ballroom, etc. All while a somber instrumental remix of "This will be the day" playing in the background and the group lamenting that had everything not gone to hell, they would have be graduating from Beacon around then.
@tigrebleu74583 жыл бұрын
I think Nora's scars are beautiful. They're a token of what she has done, and I think she looks really cool with that "battle mark." Just like Weiss's scar, it broadcasts something about Nora. Strength, determination, etc. And awe.

@Radley19823 жыл бұрын
8:43 Good point on his eyes, that's the same expression he had when he shot Oscar. And since his Semblance dulls his emotions so he can focus on his decisions better, that could be the reason. You might be onto something here. 16:15 What's with Qrow, you ask? He's always had it out for Atlas, clashed with Ironwood for going against Ozpin, and as we've seen, Qrow is at his worst when someone betrays his trust. We've seen it with Raven, Ozpin, and now Ironwood. When pushed too far, Qrow *does* start killing, that's no surprise. Doesn't make it right, but that's how he operates. Something like this anyway.
@apeshrujmel66813 жыл бұрын
This episode just furthered my theory of each of the Ace Ops (and Qrow) being the 5 stages of grief. I like to think it goes as follows: - Elm is denial, with lines like "he's not really gonna do it" and her clearly not being 100% on board with Ironwood and his plan (also last episode she shrugged off Vine's comforting attempt when the whale blew up). - Harriet is anger, as proven by her lashing out and wanting to blame someone constantly. - Marrow is bargaining, with him trying to find alternatives and finally going against Ironwood in this ep. to serve his morals. - Qrow is depression, with him starting the Volume in the prison not even getting up or reacting much until spurred on by Robyn, clearly very upset by Clover's death. - Vine is acceptance, not showing much emotion towards Clover's death and showing an acceptance of Ironwood's insane morals, accepting them as the only option.

29:09 - "Try him in a court of law." Except that since he declared martial law, he IS the law. One of the only ways he could be tried is if the Council overruled his declaration and stripped him of his rank, but since he murdered Sleet and threw Jacques jail, that leaves only one other Councilmember to vote against Ironwood - and as he reminded Jacques in Volume 4, he holds 2 seats on the Council. Another way is following the events of the next Chapter.

Fave episode of the season so far for Ren & Nora admitting their feelings for one another (without it feeling forced) & for the optimistic Ruby to take stock and realize they are in way over their head and come to a logical conclusion on the fate of her mother.
