39 years I have had a Class A and I have been around trucks my entire life. I can honestly say this driver is in the top 1% of the most irresponsible drivers I have ever seen. Hopefully the driver will find a new career where he (or she) is not able to endanger someone else's life. Great job on the recovery.

WOW !! Class A 39 years and 42 years. I’m from New Jersey and we must’ve been the last state to switch from articulated to CDL. I got my CDL class A the first day it was mandatory in Jersey, April 1,1991. We used to get wrecks on the Western Spur of the New Jersey Turnpike too. Usually one ramming into the rear of another. I haven’t towed trucks in a bunch of years, career change, but I miss it.

Seen a comment other day inquiring of air brakes on a concrete mixer if he needs air brake endorsement on cdl. Said he went to school for 2 days to get cdl but couldn't find a job because everyone said he'd probably have to work on some weekends. 😂

As a heavy operator my company helps other truckers with minor load shifts etc when caused by another companies negligence as in a wreck.. just Bill to the negligent company. We call it a courtesy to help a victim out of a bad situation..

It's been a terrible year for snow up here in Northern Idaho. We got close to 2 feet around Christmas time and it was gone by the 2nd week in January and we have had a couple storms that have drop an inch or two and gone by the afternoon. We have the same thing going on in our Mountains no snow. Gunna be a bad fire year if we don't have a wet late spring. Great video thanks

That was a slickass recovery. That 30 tons a nice truck. Akways 1st one out the gate and used to drag everything. Cheaper to run than the 50 tons. Hell of a lot easier to scale

Missed this one when it first came out. Good creative recovery work on that complicated wreck. You're right, you can't work for free when there's insurance litigation in the air which always requires the correct paperwork and valid agreements.

We did adjust the load when he decided to pay for it. We explained to him that he could pay for the adjustment of the load and then have his insurance go after the insurance of the other truck that he claims is at fault.

And adjusting them containers means staging the truck, burning diesel, rigging the hook points, setting it where he wants it, paying his guys to do said work, paying his insurance's and so on. I mean sure do something for free, but is that guy going to help Rick when his business is failing from doing free crap.

We have the same problem up here in Canada too. We have a lot of South Asians. Who can`t speak English and they work for a South Asian company. They also don`t keep up the maintance on their trucks. There are other horror stories too. Lets just say that it is disgusting.

I have to agree with some others. You should have shifted the load for the flatbed. 15 minutes work helping a driver that through no fault of his got fkd. Would have called offending comp for approval but if denied still would have done. No one expects you to work for free but good will and karma go a long way.

Tim is getting into towing but he has been up and down the mountain and has a good business plan for the rest of his business. He and the family and his crew came back from a devastating fire and put the company back together without going broke. He also thought the community a lesson in business insurance in what you need to know about your insurance. This lesson was learned the hard way as is insurance policy did not have the coverage for his fire loss.
