I find it sad as a Gryffindor myself because I think that (among the fandom at least) they are the least appreciated house. At first I was really exited to be in Gryffindor but overtime I realised that people don’t really like us all that much. If you think about it videos like these are really hard to come by for Gryffindor’s. if you even search up the word Slytherin, you automatically get hundreds of aesthetic videos and house pride videos. The same goes for Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. But when I searched the same for Gryffindor i found practically 0 of anything. I had to do a lot of digging just to find this parody. I’m not attacking the other houses. In fact, I love all the other houses so much and all of my friends are from the others too. But all I’m saying is it is hard to get enthusiastic over your own house when there is barely any content over it. It used to be that Gryffindor had a lot more merch. But now when I walk into a store I usually only find Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw versions of things. When I ask, it’s not because they have sold out. It’s just they were never stocked in the first place. There are also a lot of videos in defence of Slytherin and Hufflepuff (not so much Ravenclaw) but honestly, I don’t really think we need them anymore. Everyone nowadays including myself, absolutely adores both of them. They are honestly such cool houses and the amount of content over them shows that. We even have a whole seperate franchise for Hufflepuff. I do think that Ravenclaw is not as celebrated as the other two and I think that needs to be fixed btw, but they still have way more stuff going for them then Gryffindor. Anyways I hope no one takes any offence to this comment, I just wanted to say how i feel about it. Lol. I have come to peace with my house and I do love it. What I gather from the comment section (and other sites too) is people defending their own houses except from Gryffindor. (There's a few comments here and there) Honestly, when you say people want all to be Gryffindors...you couldn't be more wrong. Its an understatement if a person who doesn't read/watch Harry Potter and be asked what house you are to say Gryffindor out of the blue. But when you are a Harry Potter fan and you know the house traits, it's really hard to find a Gryffindor in the crowd. A Gryffindor and he or she will mean it. Personally, yes I'm in Gryffindor, but I'm not arrogant, a bit cocky at times but I'm doing it for fun, no harm done. What irritates me the most is that you believe there is, like billion of Gryffindors out there and some hundred/ thousand badgers, eagles or snakes out there. Witch in my opinion it's a false statement. (Or at least in my country is) In my school we have like, 30 potterheads? (Idk, I don't count) and most of them are either in Slytherin or in Ravenclaw. Two of my close friends there are in Hufflepuff and I'm the only lion in this. The thing about that is, that the years of Gryffindor overshadowing the other houses *ARE OVER* But what I did realize is that as the years pass, potterheads stand up for the other houses, supporting Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw/Slytherin love with Gryffindor hate. Gryffindor isn't Dumbledore's favourite, HARRY is. I could guarantee that if Harry was in ANY OTHER HOUSE in Hogwarts then they would win. Gryffindors work hard as well and let's not forget that they have to get good results because it's well known that most Gryffindors aim to be/end up being aurors which requires extremely high results in both O.W.L.'s and N.E.W.T's.
