It’s really funny but I’ve met and seen Murs around L.A. many times or at Goodlife project Blowed but the story he’s telling is very similar to mine. When I first heard KMD when they dropped their album I was ultra obsessed. I was Rhymin at the time and changed my rap name to Phunkshun X to mimic the Syllable name of Zev Luv X plus my friends and I started toying adding chopped up speech from comedy albums to our music. It honestly got so bad in my eyes however I thought I was absolutely biting Zev luvs style so I had to consciously try to avoid rhyming like him and do my own style but Doom along with Freestyle Fellowship will always be like my Sensei’s for life because I learned so much from them RIP Doom

Lol...same here. Still live in Vegas, but back then I lived near the hiphopsite. I use to shop there all the time, and Big B's across the street. They also turned me on to the Doomsday album when it dropped. Bought Ugly Duckling across the street at B's. Small world. Pizzo, the white dude, is now a big player out here in the marijauna business and has his own dispensary. I used to listen to him and Warren Peace on unlv college radio all the time on the weekends. They had the dopest underground hip-hop show. It was one of the few things in Vegas that exposed us to real hip-hop back then. RIP DOOM

He was down with a crew called " GYP posse....Get yourz posse," and they were like the fly, Islamic dudes, and there was a rival crew called " junior life posse(life posse was one of the toughest crews from the hood), and they clashed one day at the high school" and they beat shit out of Doom and his. crew. One of the dudes bust Doom in the face with a pipe, but the junior life crew was jealous of GYP because they got all the girls and they were cool as hell. His brother Sub Rock on the other hand was street.
