Pretty much the only good news Rudeus has is that the family is now very wealthy. I'm talking Tony Stark. Plus Sylphie never accepted Rudeus' pledge of fidelity as a promise.

21:10 No, it was way better that he did it in front of everyone. Come out clear with it in front of everyone. They are all his family and they all will be affected by this decision so all of them had to be informed. It also shows way more balls and determination.

I don't know, I'd disagree. If you cheated on your wife or were planning to open up your marriage you would talk to them directly in private instead of announcing it in the middle of a family gathering. Doing it this way also puts pressure on Sylphie as she is put on the spot with an audience, and may feel that she can't voice her true feelings, though in this case, it wasn't the case.

@@TheNerdyverse I wouldnt say he "cheated" on his wife. My definition of cheating is you see a girl, you thing she is hot, you sleep with her for the sole reason to sleep with her even though you already have a partner. Thats not what happened and how it happened. the circumstances are very important here. Many people dont seem to understand that Rudy was on the verge of dying and they couldnt even make their way back with him in that state. Roxy used her own body to get him out of that state and saving his life. Sylphie understood that Roxy is responsible for her husband coming back alive and thats also why she said that she would have done the same. The most important thing for her is her husband coming back alive and not having a dead husband that didnt "cheat" on her instead.

Light novel version of when Sylph talks to Roxy when Rudy asks about having her join: She basically states not only did she assume this would happen but even lists off the girls that she thought it would be and is a bit surprised it wasn't 1 of them.

Rudy didn't mess up. The demon eye caused him to freeze! It's in the light novel, and the anime didn't explain it.

He never hated Paul for getting a second wife. He did think he wasn't a good person because of that, but then admitted they were the same and he wasn't a great person either

There are consequences, Sylphy forgiving him and accepting Roxy is the consequence of him being for Sylphy who Roxy was for her or more, and she already assumnig that he will be like Paul from the beggining. I mean, putting aside the second wife thing, i don't know what consequence yo uexpect for him cheating, in those circumstances where he couldn't eat for mroe than a weak, and had basically no will to live, who would say that he shouldn't have done it even though they had no other idea or options to pull him out from his desperation? Hoenstly if someone says you rather die but not cheat, then they don't worth your loyality either way. The only realistic consequences assuming Sylphy loves him is his guilt and he not be able to keep his words and overcome Sylphies low expectations for him.
